A fire elemental avatar (which unbalances all the others) that can cast Reraisega III on your party is pretty outrageous, to me. <_<Originally Posted by Hawkhellfire

While Phoenix would most likely be firebased (oh noes...that makes 2 fire based avatars when the other elements only get 1. SE could never do something so crazy. *cough* lolhopestaff on pup *cough*) who said that he would get Reraisega III? And even if he did (which is complete speculation at this point), who's to say it's not his 2 hour. Using it once every 2 hours has got to be broken. I mean a WHM with RR3 on dies with a party wipe, gets up and casts Raise III on each member. Guess that's kind of broken too since it does the same thing. Maybe with this fabled RR3ga, the weakness could be double length to balance it out. Just think outside the box and there are ways to balance things.Originally Posted by Therin
As I said before, Phoenix died during the Meltdown, the event that caused Al'Taieu to fall into the Sea of Shu'meyu. We're only traveling ~30 years into the past to the Crystal War when the Shadow Lord was in power.Originally Posted by Hawkhellfire
Another case for Odin and Alexander over other avatars: There's already a Bloodpact list set for them.
Stolen from otherwiki:
Odin
Sanngetall: AoE dispel that dispells all buffs.
Gagnrath: AoE damage and Terror.
Valfodr: AoE damage and Curse + Silence.
Geirrothr: AoE damage and Bind.
Ofnir: AoE damage.
Yggr: Gives Odin the ability to Intimidate players.
Alexander
Radiant Sacrament: Targeted AoE physical damage and Additional Effect: Magic Defense Down.
Void of Repentance: Single target Terror for several seconds.
Gospel of the Lost: Heals Alexander HP and removes debuffs.
Divine Spear: Aingle target move which has an Additional Effect: Attack Down.
Mega Holy: AoE Light damage.
Perfect Defense: Complete immunity to either magical, physical, or ranged attacks for a short period of time.
Compare to Selh'teus' Phoenix:
Phoenix
Redemption: Refills HP, MP, TP to max for everybody within range (this move fills TP to 300%)
Luminous Lance: Light-based damage + Stun
Revelation: Light-based damage
What are the odds SE wouldn't be lazy?
Yah but how looooooooong before they announce/release these? I'm getting bored w/ the ones I have now. :<
Could list all Bahamuts moves too, doesn't mean you are getting him.
Did I say anything about Bahamut?Originally Posted by rath
Please lurk moar. I'm already well aware we're not getting Bahamut.
Gotta admit, it'd be kinda cool if we did.^^

note: I also figure it will be Odin and Alex, so I was just saying.
This thread is a waste until they release any REAL information.
Diabolos is neutral. Instead of resisting the apocalypse, he invites people to his realm.Originally Posted by Therin
Anyway, the next avatar is simple: It's Dues Ex Machina.
I don't know what they will be at all. I'd like it to be phoenix and alexander personally. However, where is the "fix" where smn actually fits in merit pts. If using spirits is it, SE may as well give up on the job.
i highly doubt they would give us alexander/odin and atmos, mostly because sort of the reason why we are not getting bahamut, Odin and Alexander are to "great" to be given to us, the fight that they had, its all legendary and all that, and to power/size them down to avatar would just ruin it (after all, Odin and Alexander are fucking huge!), same for Atomos, he is way to fucking huge to make him a summon, did you see that pic, he like is the size of earth!Originally Posted by Hawkhellfire
That and unless they gave alexander another form, a big floating castle with no attack or movement animations would kill it, massivly
Bahamut was "big" in 3d and concept terms : the sight of a flying dragon fighting against a ronfaure hare was comical to say the least. this takes out mounted Odin too, for the same exact reasons.
as for Power Levels, it's hard to determine who could or could not being summonable, since plot devices could always be used to prove this or that. for ex Fenrir wiped the whole Yagudo Army so i dont see him being inferior to Bahamut or Odin yet SMN can use him.
again, my bet is with "Luzaf style" Odin. he can be mighty and all, still plot-wise we just need him to recognize our valor/strengh so he lends a shard of his power.
All this talk about another fire based avatar would unbalance the cycle.
Hello? Fenrir + Diabolos? Are you guys just fucking retarded or something?
isnt there 2 types of avatars? Celestial or w/e it is though?Originally Posted by Zilong
