I personally don't see Alexander becoming a summon. He doesn't even MOVE.

up until now, every expansion = 1 new avatar so I wouldnt see they releasing 2 avatars from the same expansion.

Zilart: Summoner released, all avatars were new.
Promathia: Diabolos released.
Aht Urhgan: Nothing.

And didn't SE explicitly say more than 1 in this expansion?

Um, Summoner was released back when FFXI launched with just Carby and 6/8 of the spirits.

Zilart got us Ifrit, Shiva, Garuda, Ramuh, Levi, and Titan along with Earth spirit and at a later date Fenrir and Thunder Spirit.

If you're going to state something as fact, at least state it correctly.

Summoner might have been added after the initial release of FFXI (not 100% sure) but it's still an FFXI job and NOT a Zilart job and came out before Zilart was released. Carby and 6/8 spirits are NOT from Zilart but from FFXI.

in my little book that came with the game it showed SMN
as part of RoZ.

it is considered a RoZ job- as far as I'm concerned.

Or if that link doesn't work for some reason, go to playonline.com and click on Rize of the Zilart on the left side under expansion packs. If you can find where it says Summoner as a listed additional job, then I will agree that it's a Zilart job. Afterall, it's the official site. Why would they lie about something like that?

SMN was not in the Zilart manual.....

but technically its a FFXI job... even thought it was release a couple days (i think) before RoZ was realease

I'm pretty certain SMN was added before RoZ. However, only carby was available at first. Ramuh, Shiva, Titan and Garuda were added. Later Ifrit and Leviathan. I might be mistaken though.

Most of the websites have SMN listed as a RoZ job,
as far as I could see, but according to POL it does look
like it isn't really one. It is kinda in the middle- I guess.

Though we are discussing this based of someone else's post
talking about how many avatars have come with each of the
expansions...which entirely unfounded...so idc.

iirc, SMN was released early to promote the Zilart expansion. Kind of like how we had the Crystal War revisited event, or the ToA city quest.

That makes me wonder, was anything of that nature released pre-CoP?

Vision = When Eald came into contact with the crystals (also stunting his growth and giving him his special powers), he had a vision about paradise or something; apparently, because of the Whisper of Souls, all of the Zilart had this "vision"
