    Alla Dev Team interview.

    So it was mentioned that SE mentioned raising the crafting cap in their interview with Alla. The full interview hasn't been posted yet so I don't really know what's going on with that, but if they were to level the crafting cap, how far do you think they would take it and how would it affect crafting? (I don't think things can get that much worse, really.)

    Just curious to see what you guys think of it or any theories you might have.


    Edit: This is what the quote actually said, should've put it in the first place.
    "*They are working on raising the max level of crafting(?). May be able to create a "store" in your mog house and invite people in to browse your items And something about applying higher HQ's to other crafts. Don't take all this too literally, the way they mentioned some of it was confusing."

    Crafting cap as in 100? Horrible, dont do it, no thanks jump off a bridge etc.

    would absolutely destroy an already abysmal crafting market. They would have to add new T0 items that would need to be far superior to the current T0 items. Not only would it destroy the value of current high profile items, but it would inflate the entire playerbase by giving every joe schmoe access to them, as well as adding in newer, even better items, which would make an already simple end game even simpler.

    It says they're raising skill points, so I guess the cap will still be 100, while you can level your subs past 60?

    That would still break so many synths.... yay for tier1's becoming tier2's, and 0's becoming 1's, /goodbye profit from the nice tier0's

    This really would break crafting if they expand it, for the reasons listed alread really but I think it's important to focus on the practicality of it: Let's say Dusk Gloves +1 is no longer a T0 synth but a T1? Sounds good in theory yeah! Moar hastes for my internets.

    So what happens to the one T0 synth leather has that really brings in that $$$? I mean sure, we have blessed pumps T0 and Penance Robe, but when it comes down to it what is leather really all about? Dusk Gloves +1. So T1 Gloves +1, result is either LC being done 100% or adding Dusky Gloves NQ / HQ T0 @110! (or whatever)

    And that's the thing, sure, haste +5% gloves, a fucking turban on your hands, but this game is already easy enough as it is, if your NIN is at least 37 you have won FFXI, adding more items to make the game easier in an attempt to make crafting more desirable is like splashing boiling water on your face to get the ketchup off the side of your mouth.

    Part of me would love clearly defined T1s with sub or dual sub and part of me would also love the idea of a more broken items, but I also would like to keep playing this game for a decent amount of time, making it easier isn't going to do that.

    Actually, they mentioned raising the "maximum crafting level" which most people are taking to be another +1 crafting item that has been mentioned at the Fanfest...

    I'm now doing turn ins on three different characters at once. c.c To hell with the extra +1 or whatever it grants, they look good! Want want want for my MH!

    I just hope they'll be bought with normal GPs though, not GP[s]s (GPs from the past). And I really hope they're not more than 150 GP!
