About those keychain things

They said they would be putting the keychains on their website at square-enix.com iirc. But are they doing the same thing like they did for the JP and giving away a mooogle cap thing with it?

What happened was, for the players that couldn't attend the Osaka fanfest, the Japanese S-E store had an online only promotion. Buy a FFXI keychain, get a code for a moogle cap. (Which would explain the ridiculous number of them I've been seeing around.)

The OP was asking if they might run a similar promotion for the North American online store.

I hope so. I used a Deputy Service in Japan to order the keychain w/code for me. I would like to have both caps if possible.

I'm wondering why exactly the American release of the Final Fantasy key chains do not include the code for the in-game item like their Japanese counterparts? I don't believe that it's fair of you at all to give such clear favoritism to the people playing in Japan over the people in America that play the same game and pay the same prices to play FFXI. I'm hoping that you'll please rethink your decision, that I believe is nothing more than a rude slap in the face to all the American players who would like one of the hats. Please include the code with the key chains.

Indeed. I can see no logistic reason why they wouldn't give NA the same option. I say no logistic reason, but it seems SE is impervious to rational thought sometimes...

To Whom It May Concern:

As an avid Final Fantasy XI player for the past five years, I find it disconcerting that that Square-Enix did not include an In-Game Item Code for their North American and European player base who chose to spend their money on a key-chain. It is disconcerting because these codes were given out with the key-chains to their Japanese playerbase.

I do not understand why Square-Enix has chosen to favor one portion of their paying customers and not the entirety. It would be more profitable for them to ensure that all special offers are made to all players.

In the interim, I have been forced to hire a Deputy Service to go ahead and acquire the in-game code and keychain in Japan on my behalf. This way I sidestep all bias from Square-Enix.

It saddens me that I will be only one of a few North America/European players that have this ingame item (Moogle Cap). It should sadden Square-Enix as well as they've lost out on a large sum of money from their now alienated playerbase.

Edit: Sorry, it's nomad but it is the same item essentially. There are moogle caps for sale but I've only seem them on Yahoo Japan so you have to deal with the extra cost of paying a deputy service and shipping.
