I've read, bit here and alla that there would be a "Special Announcement" at 8pm PST... when the scedule says "Special Event"....... so the only build up was false hope xD


But still i'm disappointed... now new trailer either ; ; and SE is still not telling us much about the expansion itself

Um... The Fan Fest had a lot more information and things to do compared to the Osaka event. But I suppose that won't stop the bawwww flood inc.

my post more refers to this statement. i think lots of people really were hope for more, tho i am sure those that are there are having a great time(im not there obviously), and im sure they dont regret going. just thinking it may not be meeting the hype we all had hoped for.

The band at the concert as I've said in advanced was king of.... off a bit. I still can't find what the second and first song the played are, because NO ONE IS SURE. Hell, until memoria d^stona everyone around me was clueless @ distant worlds.

Also: Everyone making fun of 100$ moogle caps is jealous they couldn't go. If your not and your ingeniously mocking attendees, I suggest you do yourself a favor and F5 yourself. The room after certain questions where answered and they demoed scholar/dancer and the atmosphere are well worth the money I paid, as was getting to talk to a GM who's name I cant spell or remember, getting to talk to other SE employee's, getting to PLAY SCHOLAR AND DANCER BEFORE YOU, and other fun stuff.

Having said that, I wish I knew more people/came with a friend, since everyone else is probably out at a post event party and i'm stuck ordering pizza.

Not completely going to say it wasn't worth it, but I didn't even get to do alot of the things most people did. I decided to sign up to be a Mercenary and spend part of my day helping the con... well...

We were told we'd be spending 6 hours per shift on 2 days. Not that bad I thought, so I signed up, got registered, hotel, and flight. I didn't work on Thursday registration night (was nice that as a Merc I could go to a seperate place at reg table and pick up both my badges, no line-from-hell), so I knew I would be missing out on some of the main events. I ended up missing basically everything.

Friday I attended opening ceremonies, then got in line for the WoG demo. The line was insanely long and then we were told people were being given tickets, and if you didn't get a ticket come back in an hour for another chance at a ticket... Well, by the time he said that it was lunch time and my shift was going to start in an hour, so I got food and sat at my server table (nobody from my server was there at the time). Checked in for my Mercenary shift, worked maybe 30 minutes behind the Reg desk (I gave Charitwo his badge ^^; ) before being told the "Live Quest" needed more help. I spent the rest of the day as "NPC Five." About 7 hours working.

Today I was working from about 8:30 - 5 gaurding the Art Show (basically the entire day, since all events other than the SE Goods Booth shut down at that time), so I completely missed the WoG demo, Heros, Heroines, and Generals combat. Didn't get my picture taken with the Mithra models. I didn't even know until I found my server table again around 6pm tonight that one of my in-game friends had actually been in the Atomos Challenge AND the Tarutaru Marathon (neither of which I got to even see at all). At least after the disappointment of no big announcement after the concert, I was able to go back to the reg desk and beg myself one of the in-game rewards for the Live Quest (which also happens to be a version of the combats that I missed here at the con, only you get to play them with your own characters on your own time).

I'm now dead tired, and kinda sad that I spent so much of my own time and money for so little reward... At least I got to meet some people in person that I'd know in-game for years, and saw some great costumes. Not regretting coming yet, but sure would have appretiated the anouncement of a new job or SMN at the end to lift my spirits a little...

I'm not making fun of people for spending $100 on it, I would just be kinda disappointed if I had gone since everyone that didn't go still got all the info you did. We didn't get to try out the new jobs or anything before other people, but it doesn't even sound like those were the full versions of the jobs anyways.

there's a special title you can get for being the 10000th user of the food effect npc in lower jeuno.

if he fails the title is brown magic by-product, can't remember what it is if he succeeds though. Kind of amusing that they stuck that in there. I got a bit of video footage (not great quality), I will post ASAP.

I remember seeing posts and tests about the Brown Mage Taru npc on BG waaaaaay back when everyone was still looking for the super secret way to get goblin drinks.

I'm not making fun of people for spending $100 on it, I would just be kinda disappointed if I had gone since everyone that didn't go still got all the info you did. We didn't get to try out the new jobs or anything before other people, but it doesn't even sound like those were the full versions of the jobs anyways.

The jobs themselves probably aren't 'finished' anyway. What we got was more or less a demonstration of the job abilities. As others have said, all the AF was granite (yes, granite icon).

And yes, everyone got the same information. Not everyone got the misty eyes I got during distant worlds, or the rush of the room during the job announcements, or the experience of the first solo trip taken as an adult.

So, I guess I'm saying shit is situational. (insert the sound of lol's here)
