Re: Question on Floor 100 Nyzul

Question: My friends and I are worried about SE being dicks about exposing shit like this and possibly banning you for doing it. Has anyone had a bad experience where a GM jailed you for warping out and repeating this process even though it seems like they made it to where you are just supposed to go through 1-100 and never warp?

This is within the confines of the game. In fact, they've knowingly made the drop rate NOT 100% when the disc holder is warped out. So no, you're not going to get banned.

While we are on topic, our group has been on 80 for a while, farming all 20-40-60-80's. We have thought about going to 100 soon. Ive heard that the floor 100 bosses have completly unlocked tp moves (aka nerve gas, fulmination, gates) is this true? Are they much more difficult then 80's?

Not that much more difficult. Handle them just like you would a 60 or 80 boss and you will be fine. Maybe get a few more clerics drinks to deal with the extra aoe, because they can use the locked tp moves, but they don't use them as often as the normal ones do imo. Maybe just because the bosses don't last as long. We do take a drk along, so he usually watches for the moves to stun, but a bunch have gotten through and we haven't lost yet because of one.

On one of our 100 runs (we've only done about 5), Cerb literally spammed GoH. He used it a second time roughly 3-4 seconds after the first, and a third maybe 8-10 seconds later, etc. I saw it myself 3-4 times before warping (discholder), and my group said he used it more after I left. They still won, somehow. o.O I haven't done the real Cerb, so I can't compare it's power to the real thing.

No one would ever have an issue dealing with Gates of Hades if they'd line up properly and place their mages correctly, because you can easily get your mages in curing range of tanks and out of GoH range.

Has any curious disc holder tried going to floor 100 as a DNC or SCH to see what weapon would drop? I know that there isn't anything for them in the DATs but it would be interesting to see what happens.

Also Fanatics drinks for all > floor 100 bosses.

With bought meds and relatively decent levels of skill and gear you can kill them in minutes.

Re: Question on Floor 100 Nyzul

Or group beat the boss on Floor 100 last night and a weapon didn't drop. What gives? They tell me that it dropped to the ground from a DoT, but I thought they fixed that issue a long time ago. Are the weapons no longer 100% drop? ( I was long gone at the time )

At least MNK weapon dropped the next time (lol, we have no MNK 75, it was trashed), but wtf, a generally crappy evening; every run practically we got ESEs Flayers x6 on Floor 99.

DoT kills have never been fixed.

If you have claim on the mob, it can die from DoT with no worries. Dying from DoT unclaimed, however, will result in no drops (although having the 3FS madame die from DoT unclaimed still counts it as a kill for spawning 6F...found this out the suspenseful way).

Re: Question on Floor 100 Nyzul

I just wanted to double check with other people farming 100 -- hats can still drop even if the holder warps? I know it's not 100% drop like if they stay and have their info erased, I just want to make sure it can drop at all. We've been farming 100 off and on for a month now and have several weapons to show, but not a single hat. I just want to make sure it's bad luck rather than an edit before we do 100 again, as so far it's just been a waste of time.

Hats can drop even if the holder warps. It is at most 50% drop rate with TH4.

I was close to asking the same myself. My group has had uncharacteristically bad luck on 100. Then, last run, we finally got our first hat. Too bad it was denali, but at least we've proven to ourselves that hats dropping with the disc holder gone wasn't ninja-nerfed (at least not to 0%).

Okay, thanks, just wanted to make sure. We're like 0/6, which I realize isn't a huge sample size, but we just wanted verification before we threw any more tags away, since we still have other items we need as well.

Re: Question on Floor 100 Nyzul

My static is currently working on our first run to floor 100. We plan to stop at floor 80 to farm bodies for all of us.
If I'm reading this correctly, you're saying the weapon that drops at floor 100 depends on the job of the runic disk holder?
What happens if the disk holder warps out? Does it still drop the same weapon?

that only happens on the 2nd run up, the first time is random.

Just want to clarify this a tad further, for my own piece of mind (and to convince my static we need to work on building another disk or two)- the 2nd run up that it drops the runic holder's weapon, is that after clearing the disk and starting from 1->100 again? Or is it get to 100 first time, engage, holder warps, kill->random weapon, next time starting at 96 to farm, engage, holder warps, kill->holder's weapon drops?

Does that make sense? If it doesn't I blame insane parents/in-laws making my brain bleed today.

if the person starting Floor 96 has a Runic Key, than it'll drop whatever that person's job is.

you get a Runic Key when your disc completes Floor 100.

Re: Question on Floor 100 Nyzul

Okay, so as long as the disc holder warps before it's killed th first time on 100, it'll keep dropping random weapons?

We're a looong ways away (farming 20, highest floor we have access to is 40 right now, and only on one active disc), but I've just been a tad confused with how 100 works.
