I bet it was just for the show... So players didn't have to worry about being cured or raised when they died.

Pixies? Gigantic!
Unclassified, arcana, something new (fairies? angels?), or DEMONS are my guesses. If they're floating, they're probably not birds, but if they're actually flying they might be. Vermin need to have an exoskeleton, I think. Or, in other words, are non-aquatic arthropods.Originally Posted by LD

If it isn't a new class of creature, my bet is arcana. It might be a terrestrial spirit, like the Evil weapons.
I don't think the curing thing was Fan Fest only, they've never had a mob do that before.
im a fairy and i cast cure V and cure III and raise III dead people
why doesnt anyone make a post about the things i do|||||||||||||
i kind of want to see these things explode :Q MPK? :D
perhaps they're for solo players and only cure them.
well that is one way to help out players looking to get a bit of solo action in at higher levels.
what zone was this mob in?
I think it would be really cool to see a sort of expanded 'hate' system compared to tonberries, fomor, and apkallu. Sprites could start out curing you, until you kill a few, and then maybe even dive all the way down to aggroing you after slaughtering enough.
I wonder if you can bottle them, like you can fairies.
BST gets the new mainhealer by charming pixies![]()
Hmmm, this would be the first time monsters could attack each other... In this game, it seems everything is either tagged as "Player", "NPC", or "Monster" so you can't have any three-way fights or anything. I figured that's why they scrapped the Goobbue eating the Mandy. "Apparently" sounds like it might just be a rumor though, so I won't get my hopes up.Originally Posted by Apelila

Concerning PvP, that's simply still 1 v 1, no third tag. And I can't really recall any situation where monsters fight each other. The closest example I can think of at the moment are Goblin Mercenaries, but they start as NPC then turn into monsters. Unless you mean charm... which is not what I mean, like PvP.Originally Posted by Khamsin
I just mean that through charm (us by monsters, or monsters by us), as well as Ballista and Pankration, monsters and players can each attack each other. Now, you may be right in that Ballista and Pankration are special. However, if all it takes is charm status for players or monsters to attack each other out in the open world, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for them to allow certain monsters to aggro other certain monsters. If WoW can do it, FFXI can do it.Originally Posted by BRP

I'm just curious what happens when a player sees a Yagudo attacking the Sprite and attacks both once.
Nice to finally see wildlife interaction in the game. Not "realism" but it does add another dimension to the game, imagine trying to get past aggro, only to have your aggro cleared by hungry monsters.
It could hurt too, "Omg our chain was ruined by stupid monsters killing eachother"
It sounds like you're talking about a system similar to FFXII, which would be understandable, given that that game was essentially copy/pasted from FFXI. To be honest, though, I'd rather see random NPCs (as adventurers, townsfolk, Nation militia, ect.) fighting mobs than mobs fighting mobs. Granted, I'd love both, but sometimes it'd be nice to sit back and watch a NPC have a little fun. And yes, I did derive unusual amounts of pleasure watching the Garif warrior NPCs beating the shit out of random mobs in FFXII.It might just be a rumor... but, I'm actually more interested in the idea of third separate parties being able to attack each other rather than monsters hitting each other. I was do some fapping if SE added a new form of Conflict where two alliances of players have to kill a monster, but can attack each other. Somewhat like WoW.Originally Posted by Lucavi
