Completely guessing, but for the purpose of knowledge, I'm going to look up my current dishwasher and post it, so see if perhaps my assumptions were off-mark.Originally Posted by Amarok

now measure the water you use washing dishes, I guarantee you'll use more than 12 liters of water to fill both sink sections.Originally Posted by Dense
Well, I don't have two sink sections, and I don't fill them to wash the dishes. Everything is a bit more compact here, and I doubt my dishwasher is as large as the ones they have in the US.Originally Posted by Remy0

water conservation isn't interesting?Originally Posted by Norelco

Maybe he'd rather talk about water conservation that doesn't involve a European country.
Maybe Norelco's just hungry.
I wonder if it's possible to cook the salmon and clean dishes at the same time. There's an energy saver :D
Oh I thought about it, trust me.Originally Posted by guartz
I probably would have if I didn't need some of the dishes clean to make room on my counter to cook.
Any time a woman cooks, the dishwasher is doin the cookin.
*bu du -- dum*
If you read the food network link, the directions say you can actually do that.Originally Posted by guartz

So, I made this over the weekend. Pretty goodI wound up making hollandaise sauce (egg yolk, lemon, butter, pepper, salt) to put on it because I couldn't find the stuff to make any of the fancy sauces. No soapy/watered down taste whatsoever. It did seem a bit colder than I would have liked it, but still good (OP was spot on with that bit).
Yay I'm glad someone else tried it and liked it. Hollandaise is a good sauce to put on top of salmon, or pretty much any fish. It's odd you mentioned that sauce, cause I made it for the first time every tonight. Turned out perfect. I don't know why people say it's easy to mess up. I put mine on asparagus though to accompany my fillet mignon with a reduced red wine demiglaze with herb butter. Freaking yum.Originally Posted by Foof
Foof, if you get a chance, check out that sauce I mentioned later on in the thread. It ended up being quite good. I put it on the fish and on the roasted potatoes I made for a side. The coriander freaking makes it. I've never really used coriander before, but omg I need to start using it more.
Just cooked this again, with dishes in the dishwasher. Still just as good, and my dishes are clean!
