So um, how do we go about testing this? Delevel a craft to get under 15 skill levels of a synth?

It is veteran. I was Artisan and checked, then turned in my rank up item for Veteran and it was available.
Thank god. It adds 1.8m guild points to my goal, but at least I don't have to go back and relevel my other crafts.

It's not that difficult. Say you're Lv.100+3+new furnishing, find a cheap recipe that caps at 56 or 55. If the recipe caps at 55, get regular imagery to bring your skill level to 105+furnishing, and if it caps at 56 get advanced imagery to bring your skill to 106+furnishing. If the furnishing has no effect at all, you will experience tier 2 results, if the furnishing is at least +1 skill then you will experience tier 3 results. Can keep repeating by increasing the synth level by one until you find when the dividing point between tier 2 and tier 3 is exactly and thus determine how much skill is added with the furnishing.

Isn't leather sub for Domaru in the 50s?

    And gold sub for haub?...

Domaru's leather sub comes from black tiger leather, and if I know other synths that use black tiger leather, it would be tier one if we could hit 104 +3.

I guess cursed hauberk probably wouldn't be tier 1, but I can dream =/

Tiers are still theory, it would not be conclusive evidence. The only way to prove this is to find a synth that you can hit 15 on.

They're pretty well tested theories. It's pretty obvious to see dramatic increases in HQ rate at 11, 31, and 51 levels above the cap. The results of these tests would be conclusive enough for me, but you can take them however you want.

Hmm, I could test this pretty easily, I've taken my crafts to Veteran and then delevelled to 60. Just give me like 6 months to get enough guild points (need to finish up Fishing Hole Map first )

Well tested yes, but it is still not proof. I don't know about you, but I want to be 100% sure on this. Sigh time to finish crafting on mules.

I can't speak for anyone else, but i'm sorry this is making me so angry. Was a pain in the you know where to obtain 150,000 for Fool's Gold. Now for another peice of furniture to cost 200,000???!

This is going to take weeks, maybe a month. I wish they would have at least given us a heads-up so I could have saved some points but with SE, nothing is really that simple... :-" =D>

Oh well, 12,000/200,000 - Here we go.

WTF, how did you get to 100 cloth and a relic while not believing in tiers.

    Re: New crafting furnishings.

I understand where Linsivi is coming from. Yes, tiers are theories which are practically fact, however they are easily blurred lines.

Personally I have a 4% lifetime HQ rate on tier 1(supposedly 8-10%?), and my tier 2/3 sessions vary wildly. So, it would be much nicer to have a concrete, indisputable piece of evidence, rather than something to be only 90% sure off, depending on your luck that day. You could very well have t3 luck on a t2 item. Proof? And then go t1 rate the next day. Maybe not proof?

So, it comes down the wanting hard fact in an area that has very little.

    Re: New crafting furnishings.

I might get the it eventually but I'm not going to rush for it; I'll just do the GP that's profitable or very small loss. The only synth that appears to be worthwhile that'll become T1 for bonecraft is Dragon Leggings.

ps, I was thinking that this sign itself doesn't give you the +1 but instead maybe the sign is what triggers the latent on the new +1 skill items.

    Re: New crafting furnishings.

I thought the HQ tier % were 5/25/50. I tracked the T3 results (made a ton of the brass grips for Titan) and I averaged about a 50% rate. My other limited tracking has shown a tendency towards 5/25 than 10/33.

    Re: New crafting furnishings.

HQ tiers are about 1/64, 1/16, 1/4, 1/2, in my experience.

Anyway, I think I have like 20k CC points kicking around, and I guess I'll get the signpost for completeness sake.

Um, I never said I didn't believe in tiers, I said it wasn't a way to prove that this gave 2 skill. It can provide speculation, and observed +2, but the only way to prove it is to delevel a craft to 15+2 below a known synth cap, then attempt to synth.

And how did I get 100 cloth and relic? Well I was one of the first to do it.. at all.
