Grats to both of you for contributing nothing to the topic at hand, also not that it matters but the text is legible on the default skin, but cant see shit on the SC skin & the black background.Originally Posted by Izzy
I thought the group2 merits for rdm were a very nice addition, although I don't really remember when that was. This frontline RDM talk is pretty lulz though, can't wait to see how that goes.Originally Posted by Isiolia
Nice sig you have there, Bolkin.
Keep these numbers for posterity....![]()
to be fair; for anyone using an acidtech skin (the one closest to the older BG I remember when I first joined; mostly dark colors) that particular shade of deep blue is virtually unreadable.Originally Posted by Izzy

Thank you sir. Too bad I may not get to see those numbers again.Originally Posted by Taliesin

Excatly. Not trying to be a dick but at least try & make it to where people don't have to squint or highlight your text to read what you're saying.Originally Posted by Amele
Don't sweat it. I wasn't pissed or anything I just hate having to stop and actually re-read a post into more detail because of not being able to see nothing but a squiggly mess of text. It's because I feel "special" in a retarded way. BoT: This update while really damn big is downloading a lot faster then I had expected. A few people are already telling me they're getting errors when trying to download these files.
In before the 2handers whining. Oh wai...
Seriously, stop fucking whining, its not that big of a deal. Why have "accuracy" gear even in a game when you can turn around have another type of gear (which is generally cheaper before the update) magically start doing this (as well as give the other benefit of that stat, like Crit Hit+)?
If they want to do the DEX=ACC thing, fine, but do it for all jobs. It really is possibly the stupidest thing ever done to us 1 handers. Talk about isolation.
this has been discussed to death before. suffice to say: if SE hadn't done it this way they would've needed to change the damage formulas in a different way than a pdif cap slide to gain equity. I'm not going to make a claim that one way or the other is better - but to make the change work the way SE wanted they needed to do the Dex=acc thing just for 2h jobs.Originally Posted by skurlover
last I checked it made acc gear cheaper too. and since when is people wearing different gear *not* a good thing?

Some of them are nice, granted. However, the only one that actually allowed us to do anything -new- was Phalanx II, and it's gimped compared to Phalanx for no apparent reason. Everything else was a different/better version of something we already had.I thought the group2 merits for rdm were a very nice addition, although I don't really remember when that was.
Compare that to the ability to transfer TP, convert TP to MP, or HP to MP on another person.
Tier II merits, generally, are things that should have been given to jobs in the 60s or so anyway, when most are rather dry for truly new stuff anyway.
There are threads detailing results with tier II enfeebles and all, so I won't go into them here...but suffice to say that - for a job that's supposed to be enfeebling focused - giving us mildly upgraded versions (in some ways) of spells that we got 60 levels ago just doesn't really spice up the job much after having played it for 3-4 years. Especially when others get level 2 versions in the 40s/50s.
This is while SE has continued to put in spells that overlap what a RDM has to make us progressively less distinct in the lineup. Which really would go for all of the older mage jobs at this point.
Anyone else find it interesting that the sole method of being in your MH without a Moogle is removed in the same update where other PCs are allowed in? Chaperones only prz.Originally Posted by Xanthe

DRG got a 2nd acc trait...if your wearing GOOD gear, you've got snipers you've got your homam pieces that have haste + acc on it, Swift belt, PCC (or fucking specs, or love torque, idc) same applies to drk, mix n match as you see fit. Where does war need any more acc than they already had? Again, snipers PCC Hauby swift byakkos Bomblet...the 1 dex=1acc made it just so gimp ass people can be capable of not being completely laughed out of a party. Same applies to sam...and they have it even EASIER with hasso, and bushi (if your sam faithful). So changing the formula for 2:1 for dex seperates the shit players from the good ones who have invested actual time into their gear. They shouldnt have touched acc in the beginning, the only thing they needed to do was actually buff 2hander dmg, and with that came Y/G/K ownage (with Hagun, easy gimps who buy gil are breaking 1k+ amazing shit) and Guillotine being nerfed.
The part I don't understand is the whining coming from the SAMs. 2Handed weapons got buffed, and now they're wanted. SAM's WS got buffed as well, same as Guillotine. Guillotine got gimped, DRKs cried. Everyone told them to gtfo and embrace the new 2H buff. Now, SAMs are pussy-hurt for the same reason as DRKs.Originally Posted by devildrifterX

I didn't see anything about we getting new WS on the update notes :/
Maybe it's not gonna be implemented anytime soon?
The Dev panel said the new Nyzul relics (where the new WSs come from) are still a couple patches away.Originally Posted by VZX
I don't think SE intended to make 2h jobs godly by that past update. These jobs were left way behind in the merit party department and SE felt it needed to be adjusted. I think what they did was fair. As far as Sam is concerned, I was breaking 1k without sweat before the update.
I'm sure if they're buying gil they arent just using it for hagunsOriginally Posted by devildrifterX

I'm hoping drain samba II is decently potent. It could make for a very useful subjob in merit parties.
If I actually have to skill up my axe now for WAR instead of just using Gaxe I'm gonna be a sad panda
