I'm so torn, Homam rocks, but getting back into Limbus doesn't excite me at the moment.

I swear, SE has some of the weirdest gear selections when it comes to the new jobs. /SCH was probably the main thing I had looking forward to this expansion and they failed on that one too.

with aspir samba, probably going to see some form of dnc/whm pop up, it really depends on what overall they're given access to in terms of damage dealing ability, and after ~Lv50, having a B skill as your main weapon doesn't exactly help you very much.

Also, everyone's bitching about how Scholar won't be a good support job and wasn't what you were looking forward to, and all this other bullshit.

You get slightly reduced MP cost and fast cast, and skill enhancements while having one of the two Arts active. Wah wah.

I thought Taj said it was going to take him a little while to dat mine the equipment. Said something changed about them. Only the weapons and such are updated through his dats. He is probably working on "breaking code" or whatever he does for the equipment dats now lol

War has B skill in Sword, think about what Ridill Wars do.

I imagine every Dnc will be drooling over Joyeuse, since it (looks like at this point) will be their only multi-hitter, and with the B Rating and Merits/gear, they'll be able to TP up fine.

yeah because the boost in enhancing, divine and *gasp" healing magic skill will break my whm and give me healing potency +35... (well enhancing could do something for barspells depending on the potency of the +skill)

+5 enhancing = +1 to barspell

We know it went from D to B on the level 60 SCH, so in an assumption it's the same scale throughout levels, it would go from 101 to 109 with /SCH37; which would give +1 to barspell. If only it were just two more points.

I am still not completely discounting SCH as a sub, however; but I like the idea of extra Divine Skill and Fast Cast and other such things. But I was never thinking I would be able to store JAs or change weather with it as a sub in the first place... not really sure why anyone thought something that unique would be available pre-40. At most it would have been like, earth and water weather. ._.

I am a little disappointed about the -ga, but never thought of it for use on enhancing spells in the first place, only for the enfeebles: like second chances for BLMs to Sleepga II, though I believe I stated the first time it came up that they would probably consider that imbalanced.

I'm really surprised DNC isn't getting Merc. Kris though. (Thank god I didn't buy one in anticipation. )

I would kinda figure DNC/SAM at mid/high level for Meditate alone. I mean, depending on how you look at it/how much TP you'll need over time, 60TP of 100 or 300 TP is still a nice chunk to generate back for nothing ever 3 minutes.


Far as Scholar goes...seems like it'll be useful for boosting skills and adding a diverse set of spells, if the spell lists I'm thinking of were accurate. I think -na spells were there, and Drain/Aspir, and Gravity, etc. Would add something to any job that regularly subs the three mage jobs now I think.

I was just saying to a friend yesterday that I hope Dnc gets Joytoy, and I was betting they would, since Rdm, Cor, Brd all get. That makes me happy I actually went through that week of trying to get help down there.

Rajas+/Sam Store TP should help out with single wielded Joyeuse too, gotta do the math though.

/SCH is surely better for BLMs or RDMs, but /SCH for WHM is like worthless... the expanded skill on White arts doesnt help whm at all, ecxeption is if you have to enfeeb, which happens like almost never. I rather go with /blm or /smn still on whm. tough for my blm /sch is a very interesting option depending if gravity is available pre lvl 37 and will most likely replace /rdm and /whm totally with the selecte -na spells it has in his repertoire.
