Yes someone tried, no it did not work.
Didn't see this anywhere else, so I think I'm gonna mention it here.
In Meriphataud Mountains [S] at (G-6) there's a npc point called "Sprout".
"The bud of a strange plant peeks from the ground before you. It appears to be moving..."
And that's all it says...
It doesnt respond to gil or echo drops or anything generic...
I think I'm going to go get a sickle and see what happens, or maybe that item "A bottle of Tincture." Hmm...

By the way, since I've seen different stuff say Norvallen, Derfland, and even Ronfaure, Vunkerl Inlet is indeed part of the Derfland Front.
I found another odd isolated arena type area blocked by rocks in Pashow Marshlands [S]. This is the second one after the other in East Ronfaure [S], so there's probably others but I have no idea where. Probably will be used for some mission or nm eventually, it's just weird it's not cut off entirely from the main zone like most BC's.
Sounds like the BC in Ghelsba, a Battle arena in the middle of a zone.
Think if someone pos warped up to the plateau in Batallia, that the Beacedine entrance there would be blocked?
I think Taj said zone were completly locked this time in another thread. Not really surprising they blocked them completly this time.Originally Posted by Ryushii
You don't have to pos up that plateau, there are ramps there. (But then there are untargetable gates blocking you from going any further...)Originally Posted by Ryushii
Untrgetable at this time that is. This will most likely be removed when we get access to northlands.Originally Posted by Septimus
I imagine that would be the case since Ranguemont Pass [S] is not in the .dats at this time. Can't wait for an epic climb through Beaucedine Glacier [S] to Xarcabard [S].Originally Posted by Kaslo
I can. I have had enough zones where you have to sneak/invis your way through.Originally Posted by Xanthe
Or worse yet, packed with true-sight garbage.
I found running through Vunkerl amazing, of course this was on release day not knowing where to go running like a mad man, aggroing a ton of VT Gigas, then Kuno spammed tractor as the gigas slowly walked back during their "unaggro" state, then he aggroed a Djinn and Khelek slept it and then we aggroed a Malboro and Kuno almost died, but slept it, then a Pixie raised me and we mazurkaed and GTFOed
God it was awesome
I cannot wait for Beaucedine and Xarcabard :D

Haha, now that's the fun I'm talking about! Exploring a zone again for the first time is wonderful. How amazing was it when you zoned from Jungner Forest [S] to East Ronfaure [S] and realized "Holy crap! This door was supposed to go to King Ranperre's Tomb! And there's a ramp down this hill now???. Or zoning into North Gustaberg [S] and finding there is now (was then) a path from the west side to the east side.Originally Posted by Rocl
I'm pretty sure there will be maws in those zones as well as teleports, so for the explorationally challenged (I think I just made that word up) you only have to do it once. Now bring on the fun! :D
Im sure SE has plenty of imps, taurus and reskinned TS mobs to spare for you for beaucabard.Originally Posted by Septimus
Yeah, I've noticed that everything targetable is currently used in something in game. I remember when AU came out there were things that were targetable but not used till long time afterwards (the general Najelith quest watchtower comes to mind). I wonder why the change in procedure, maybe Taj wanderlust, or some other reason. There are a lot of fortilaces, doors, gates, and things that will obviously be used in the future.

Noticed the other day that Fort K. has these 2 funky arena type areas in its zone. Maybe a BC, but usually BC areas will have 4 of each and not 2, so who knows what its for. The pattern resembles... a soccer or hockey field. One structure is purple, the other's green.
