That's pretty cool, but I cant imagine SE doing anything with it that would last more than 2 days. Every content they add that doesnt involve killing mobs is pointless and get old after 1 week.Originally Posted by Gwynplaine

I said it earlier, only my pic got screwed up!
Its Obviously a Pankration Gym~

It seems like SE is sharing zone dats for various purposes...
the football pitch in Karugo is one of them...
I'm told that LaVaule (Davoi) and Oztroja's dats both have BC-type arenas within the same dat file..
even Walk of Echoes has an arena in it.. (and its a really cool area. I'm surprised no one has posted about this)
With all of what appear to be teleporters in Fort K-N, I'm wondering if we'll see warp-to-instances from there. As it is, I keep running across those things hoping one of them's gonna activate someday.Originally Posted by Spira

Reading this i noticed alot of people have said something about the mines in Grauberg.
I had remembered something from a useless bastok mission, i think Mission 3-1 or something (it was NOT Required to Advance in the story line) ANYWAY
You go To kill a NM in gusgen mines to procure a extremely rare Ore. Apparently its thought to not exist anymore. Well, You go to gusgen mines (Which happens to tunnel somewhat below Grauberg) and kill a Pugil and it drops the following
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Glocolite
The mission is: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/To_the_Forsaken_Mines
If you take a good long look at the Glocolite, how it has a rainbow-type color scheme, then look at the ore inside those "Caves" in Grauberg, you'll notice the same thing i did, its the same "Extinct" ore.
Im thinking could open up a storyline later on with quests, and in the best prospect new Crafting Recipes!
Just a little bit of information that may or may not show how they link past/present with objects no one knows/remembers![]()
It's also noted that somewhere around Grauberg, there's a deposit of high-quality crystals.
Methinks we'll be chocobo digging there when the birds are allowed, yes?
Notes about La Vaule.
H-8 Bellenorque Abbey is surrounded by VT-IT Orcs and Imps. None of the Orcs in the zone seem to be true sight, but I didn't find about NMs. F-9 area has a lot of VT-IT orcs, one type seems to be SCH. There's also Tough Imps at various spots around the zone.
There's a gate that can't be targeted around F-9 I think it was that looks like an entrance to a BCNM. Might have been blocking the entrance to Maison de Beaulaurand, I didn't try going there through the river though.
War Lizards - Decent Challenge Don't aggro
Mariehene - Decent Challenge (Ladybugs) Aggro
Good to know since both of these are near the zone line and are between you and the enemy fort. There's also some T orcs in the way, so you'll need Invis to get there.
Enemy fort is at K-9. Seems like all the Orc armies can spawn here to defend. Also some new ones like Clan Longtooth Pilager which are just WARs it seems along with Battlechief Vadgit. In the 5 battles I've been in so far, Orcs are 4-1. The one time they lost was 3 Allied units attacking at once, and only One-Eyed army defending. All the other fights have been very one sided, but only at max 5 players here.
As a side note, friendly armies seem to have far less HP now, more like besieged NPCs. Not sure if this just applies to beastmen strongholds or not. But even generals die pretty fast to even a few normal mobs.
In Oztroja 2nd floor, there are is an S. Imp in front of a door. By the time I found out the door cant be used or targeted a 2nd imp that was apparently behind it also agrod.
How do you get to La Vaule,Beadeaux [S] and Castle Oztroja [S]?
Same way you get to them in the present.Originally Posted by Sparkz
At least for Oztroja.
Yeah I found it.Originally Posted by Xali
So the gate at I-9 in beadaux says you can't enter and describes the gate having a socket made of lead. This sounds just like the zhayolm metal plate, and jugner_S sliced pole to me. Has anyone seen a ??? for this here or is there an item corresponding to it in dat files?
Eldieme can now be accessed from some of the entrances in Batallia Downs. one of them being the War Smilodon camp.
Edit:
(i-6) = Smilodon camp.
(H-7) = Ignis Djinn camp?
(G-6)
At (F-5) of Batallia Downs there is a NPC Lycopodium. Clicking on it gives you a very short CS with the message;
Your memory is engraved with an image of your surroundings and the fragrance of flowers...

I enjoy a good meripo, so I've been waiting for an opportunity for a new one to open up for awhile now. The two areas marked on the above map are definitely viable. How they compare to mamool ja is hard to say. Exp/hr probably a bit less, but would be greatly improved with experience.
#1 as marked is where we went to exp tonight. We fought four different kinds of orcs
(1)Prophetess - Blm? Sch?
(2)Wyrmbrander - Drg? Didn't actually pop a pet
(3)Imperial Guard - Pld (went down the slowest, by far)
(4)Dreadnought - War?
And there are a few Seneschal Imps around.
You can follow the path marked out to get to the camp very quickly. As you approach, there are two T Orcs close by, a Mnk, and a mage (Whm? Blm?). We only fought one of each, but they're good to pull to get your chain started as you move in. When you proceed to the end of the path marked out, there's a bridge. Pull some across the bridge. The first few pulls are a little tough and link-susceptible (think Nyzul Mamools). After that, it's all good if your bard knows what he's doing. If you pull from the top floor when you're on the bottom, or vice versa, the orcs will run around and you could get a fair amount of links. It's a roaming camp. As long as the puller is careful regarding links, and the healer is ready for a somewhat mp-intensive party (aoe's), you should be fine. We got about 15k/hr with a setup of: Rdm, Brd, Thf, Mnk, Mnk(lvl74), and War, only the war being hasted. I can see 20k/hr here being very viable with a party of good people that know what they're doing.
#2 - We didn't exp here, but we walked through it briefly. I didn't see any imps, but they might have escaped my eye. When I did a count, I counted at least 17 orcs. What seems cool about this camp is that unlike #1, there aren't stairs to go up and down or bridges to cross. Pulling should be a lot easier, making the party a lot smoother. Like above, the mobs conned VT and IT. I didn't catch any names/jobs, as I didn't get a good look.
Go out there and have some fun :3 Always cool to try something new in a meripo.
Figured out what the lycopodia in Battalia, Garlaige, and Gustaberg do - if you get the CS in the past, and go to the present, and trade a Asphodel (buyable near San d'Oria mog house) to the sparkly light on one side of the respective annoying cliffs, you'll get teleported to the other side. I guess someone on the dev team finally leveled a job that has a coffer in Garlaige or Eldieme or something and realised what a pain in the arse it is? >.>
