no. it just blew up like right away
maybe someone else set the bomb with the correct element on the correct day, but warped, zoned or died by non-explosion
Will any spell of the proper element trigger Djinn "fuses"?
Say I Gravity (wind) one on Windsday. Next TP move - boom?
No, threnodies did not work for me, nor did Lullaby.Originally Posted by Kyreth
Possibly any spell that does direct damage since Dia and Bio seem to set them off. Reasonable to believe that Helix spells and Ninja elemental spells will, but poison, requiem, and elemental enfeebles will not.Originally Posted by Wizerd
But more testing is needed, who wants to give up their lives for science?
i had a run in with a nm yesterday a Sandworm in batalia downs S (H-8) took almost a full allience to take it down.
we were able to mug it afew times 800g on the first mug 1k on the 2ed killed it before we had a 3ed mug.
It absorbs all buffs as well at negative stats. it took in my poison and blind as well as my hasso war cry and food!!!
Also it did something that made all my ja timers go up i was going to use my 2hour and everything was counting down my 2hour was gone. Seems ti also have a trick the undead like to use as well it takes off your armor. I was fighting and then i noticed why the hell did i get a hand-hand skill up and a nice draft in my happy place lol. Took about 15-20 min to kill. no drop got a title though "Sandworm Wrangler" I hope this info helps also before i forget we got 208G when it died idk about exp i was down eating dirt when it died.
Could you "activate" a bomb, bind it, logout, and leave it in exploding mode? That would be hilarious if bomb blow up next time they get near someone.
Definitely worth testing... Haha.Originally Posted by Kaylia
Colibri prep, mark 2 version go.
Best way to check- light fuse, Sleep mob, zone. Have someone aggro with a pet after it goes yellow. If it Combustions, winner.
Just trigger it and warp.Originally Posted by Wizerd
So are the mobs having 100% TP on certain game days depending on their element in the WoTG areas? I had a similar situation with a Djinn and it wiped my entire party in Jugner. Then the other day i was waiting in Garlaige for some campaign and two different scorpions opened the fight with a tp move (One was death scissors, ouch!) Noticed it was earthsday when this occured, and i had just killed them before passing through so nobody else had messed with them.
Just solo'd a Djinn on my wife's SMN37, in East Ronfaure. They killed Shiva in 3 hits, but it was doable with a resummon and run as SMN/NIN. Seems hard to replicate solo, but a SMN duo could go from like 37 -> 50ish on these (I dunno what level they are, seem around 50 though), then move to Batallia or Jugner or whatever for 10 levels or so, then Vunkerl, and level SMN pretty damn easily.
I don't know if it was mentioned eariler, but are there Dancer or Scholar mobs anywhere?
the only one i know of is the NM for the angelstone, which is an NM orc. much like gomory, he totes an axe instead of a weapon more appropriate for his job oddly.Originally Posted by Khamsin
He's a dancer? He didn't seem to do anything dancery.Originally Posted by Spekkio
I did see a Quadav NM who would randomly change from white to black magic back and forth alot, it seemed scholar-ish. Casted holy, diaga, etc then would randomly go to bio, aspir, sleepga etc back and forth. Sure SCH don't get those spells but it was odd.
could have sworn i saw him do some dance, but i'm not confident enough in my memory to challenge you on it. it only lasted 20 some seconds, so i could easily be wrong.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
What did the Daze effect say in your status bar, when he hit you? Don't forget Orcs have Berserker Dance, are you sure it wasn't just that? There's also a Quadav called Softstep, but I don't think he's a Dancer, either.Originally Posted by Spekkio
i'm a blm and there were several other people needing to kill it, so we just partied up to get the job done quicker, so i was never hit by it that i can remember.
Pretty sure that Pixies/Sprites are scholars, they manipulate seasons and use white magic with low casting time... no black magic though. unless you consider the TP moves that replicate seasons to be their form of 'black magic'.
Dancer-type Beastmen would be funny... maybe our humor will be piqued when the other zones get revealed. Dancing Demons and Orcs would be kinda silly...
