Well, there are Monk orcs.
I remember one of them in Ronfaure used Hundred Fists into a fresh Seigan/Third Eye, I got like 9 Anticipates, hit twice, and then he died.

Bastok has a whole platoon of Dancers and a Dancer General. (And a whole platoon of Scholars and a Scholar general!)Originally Posted by Wizerd

I don't see how you can determine whether or not he's a dnc... Dances are JAs, so beastmen probably wouldn't use them anyway.Originally Posted by Xanthe

He might be a Dancer, but he probably wouldn't use any Dances, so we cannot say for sure if he is a Dancer, so he might be a Thief or Corsair for all we know.
THF would be obvious with triple attack... but really, the reason people probably assume he's a dnc is because of the CS, which I did at the time as well.Originally Posted by Max™

Was just giving hypotheticals.
You can't say a four legged mammal with hooves isn't a horse because you haven't seen someone ride it.
. . . . . .
So anyways, about them WotG enemies...
Since the past zones have so much space, I thought maybe it would be helpful if people wanted to list mobs by zone and what their level range is. These are all the North Gustaberg [S] mobs checked using a level 40 job.
IT: All Quadav, Lesser Wivre, Most Goblins.
VT: Coppercap.
T: Maneating Hornet.
EM: Maneating Hornet.
DC: Revenant, Huge Hornet.
EP: Rock Eater, Huge Spider, Enchanted Bones.
TW: Walking Sapling, Tunnel Worm, Vulture, Ornary Sheep, Rock Lizard, Stone Eater, River Crab.
Best part was Rojgnoj dancing over my corpse after scroring a 1200dmg hits.Originally Posted by Max™
Sorry, but i thought it would be obvious to know Bakgodek is a Paladin, he even gives it away with his 2hour Invincible^^ Just added him with Beserker Dance and Orcish Counterstance, he does swing faster than his future self(not including a counter hit...)
Hits weaker & probably has a little less HP.Originally Posted by Shabazz

Someone earlier said monster were losing their tp when they don't have tp regen (ie: after fire weather wear off). I pulled 2 crawler in halvung the other day, and by fire breathx2 on light day/no weater.
I fought the Orc NM (Fingerfilcher I believe) for the Angelstone earlier, besides owning myself with Mighty Strikes up when he popped Counterstance (hi2u306dmg counters T.T) I was able to determine a couple of things.
He doesn't cast anything in the two times that I fought him, his defense is not representative of a Pld mob, nor is he as squishy as a mage, with 2hr and WC I did a 2.2k Steel Cyclone, and followed with an 1100 Raging Rush.
I'd put him at the bottom end of Campaign Mobs, and I'd say he is War/War, as he double attacks pretty regularly but uses no other stand out abilities.
Is Gradual Petrify from Peiste for NMs (received it in Campaign) only or can regular Peiste cause it?

Gave a 20 second counter. Spring Water didn't cure it. Was petrified before a WHM could try to cure it. Also caused a massive Movement speed down, running was at walking speed. Really didn't notice a Slow effect, but really wasn't paying attention.
They need to add "soft" in game. Maybe the tincture heal it?Originally Posted by Gobo
are there any NM's that actually drop stuff that isnt for quests?
When ToAU came out SE added NM's with the version updatea month or 2 after ToAU was released so maybe they will do that again.
No NMs except those involved in quests afaikOriginally Posted by Dre

They badly need the ability to use items on other players. Especially when I'm in Salvage telling people to buy the hi-pots out of my bazaar, and they just die instead. That, and Phoenix Downs please. Oh sure, they couldn't be too common, but having the option would be great (I'm sure everyone's seen a wipe where the only 2 people who didn't reraise and die again were like a MNK and a DRG).Originally Posted by Kaylia
