    Farmed the Decent Challenge Wivres around the Grauberg outpost for an hour with TH3 and went something like 0/15 on hide drops. Got tons of mauls and some horns.
    Small LS group (four people, one had TH3) farmed them for a whole evening (5-6 hours) and we didn't get one single hide drop.

    Edit: Grauberg as well, just south of the Campaign fort thingie.

    Re: Monster discussion

    Has anyone seen a Non-Lobison Gnole stand (and thus use A.Claws) under any conditions (outside of the Campaign NM's) ?

    Doing prep work for the Blue Mage Hunting Grounds, and I'm having a hard time pinning down this Gnole Behavior.

    Thanks!

    Re: Monster discussion

    just played with a few pixies in N. Gustaberg [S] on top of Zegham Hill (Maat Spawn) and was able to collect some data.

    http://wiki.bluegartr.com/Pixie

    Special Attacks:

    * Cyclonic Turmoil (Wipes All Buffs + Knock-back)
    * Summer Breeze (Regain and/or Erase)
    * Spring Breeze (Sleep and/or 50% TP loss)
    * Winter Breeze (Stun and/or Damage)
    * Autumn Breeze (Cure Effect)
    * Lethe Arrows
    * Zephyr Arrow

    Magic Cast:

    * Cure III
    * Cure IV
    * Cure V
    * Curaga III
    * Protect III
    * Shell II
    * Regen
    * Regen II
    * Blindna
    * Poisona
    * Cursna
    * Stoneskin
    * Blink
    * Haste
    * Aquaveil

    I'm still a wikinoob so i'm not too sure if i did the formating correctly. The N. Gust Pixie did not cast C3 or C5 during my battles, those are observations from other encounters.

    EDIT: Few more observations. It likes to spam cure/ga @ low HP, has a fairly decent elemental magic resist rate, & can spam Breeze moves -20%.

    Re: Monster discussion

    noticed some odd behavior from the quadav in N. Gustaberg (S). During the daytime a trio (Young/Amber/Amethyst) occupy the area @ (F/G-7), but @ 20:00 on the game clock, they move to the tower @ (F/G-8) and back to the other spot when morning hits.

    Re: Monster discussion

    A lot of beastmen in the game exhibit this behavior. It's especially easy to see in any zones with camp fires. They'll roam free during the day, but at night they will congregate around the fire.

    its usually only one mob that roams free near a camp, what makes this one different is the distance they go to reach the tower. if you look at the map (sorry for the quality), there is a stream in the way. they travel down the stream, cross the bridge at (H-7), and then follow the stream to the tower. watching them do it is like watching someone run a train of mobs.

    Re: Monster discussion

    Speaking of beastman movement, do the Goblin skirmishers/etc. (the mine-laying Gobbies) roam around most of the zone (Do diggers also do this?), or do they have some set path? I tend to find them either by other Goblins or in random spots, so perhaps they have a similar "move at certain times" behaviour.

    Oldworld Diggers roam yeah, makes for fun when you zone them into Rolanberry Fields >.>

    I think Skirmishers just wonder a big radius dropping bombs around. Maybe there is more methods to their madness

    Skirmishers have set areas. In North Gustaberg, for example, there are 3 Skirmisher spawns. One by the Outpost/South Gusta zone line, one in the area by the Port Bastok Zone, and one in the area north of Zegham Hill.

    Guess you're right; I've seen all of those and 1 by the Highlands/Grauberg.

    Confirm that- there's a Sarutabaruta one that never leaves it's little area up top of Starfall, near Maat.

    Re: Monster discussion

    There is a Skirmisher near the Worm camp is southwest Grauberg, he roams completely around a hill in the map, crossing through something like 6 or 7 map squares last I checked.

    Mild annoyance if you were partying there, but he only comes by the southern end where a couple of worms spawn, and only once every 5-10 minutes.

    Idk if it's been posted before, but the Gigas pets in Vunkerl appear to have a lot more HP than other pets. I tried to Flare (BLM solo @ 68) one, and 1220something only took like 1/3rd of it's health. Sucked.

    Re: Monster discussion

    Ok, now i am really pissed, i am currently passing 6h on my time killing the stupid slugs in Pashlow and Rolanberry fields to get a slug eye for Stock and Awe II in bastok.

    Got about 3-4kxp with 25xpmob and still no fucking eye.

    Anyone knows a better way to get them? (AH only sold 3 in the entire history)

    Thx

    Re: Monster discussion

    just skip it and do S&A III. It's a lot less stressful and if you hit all the harvest points in Grauberg you'll have enough items to last you the week.

    Goblin Skirmishers Bury items. Was running up to one to kill it, it did the same animation the Goblin Diggers do.

    (Reached in pocket, tossed item in the ground, and jumped on it)

    Kinda pointless considering We cant use Chocobos there yet.
    But yah, They bury items i cant wait to find out what.
