So is it safe to say Campaign in Ronfaure/Saru/Gusta is pointless? 30 minutes for it to start, fight itself lasted 2 minutes, tops, 50xp. I'll stick to Jugner![]()

i was doing a Campaign in Grauberg and when i went to get assessed i got 0 exp and notes ; ;
I have no idea what happened.. but it wasnt just me
Im guessing it had something to with the fact that the sword icon went away for a few secs (and i got battle music) and then reappeared >.>
Strangest thing happened in Grauberg. Usually there's a C.A. NPC on a platform south of the tower in Grauberg, and the quadavs pop on the tower. But this time, the C.A. NPC was gone, but there's an L.C. NPC next to the tower. However, the quadavs aren't popping on it anymore, they're coming from the north.
Anyone know what's up with that?
Also, I showed up and figured out that this L.C. guy also gives out tags and ended up doing 2 min of Campaign for 250 xp. And all I did was whack at Herohunter for 0 damage (4 on enspell). No curing, just haste, refresh, stoneskin, and putting the enspell on.
Check the region map, is the dot now a different color with Bastok as being in control of Grauberg?Originally Posted by Khamsin
Bastok won Grauberg? If you own the region, you defend a fortification, if the beastmen own it, you attack.Originally Posted by Khamsin
Yeah, Bastok owns it. Not sure who owned it last week, when the C.A. NPC was on the south platform.
XP and allied notes have been reduced for successive turn-ins of tags if you do it too soon. I got, for a Batallia Downs campaign: 600 xp, 400 xp, 200 xp, 100 xp, 100 xp, 200 xp.
Seems to be based on time that the cap rate increases. Btw, prepatch at least healing gave you 20% of hp healed +1 AN for each actual cure cast.
I'm pretty sure the beastmen owned this region for all servers during the initial week of expansion release, and ya like they said above if the nation owns it you defend the tower, if the beastmen own it the campaign npc will be not far away from tower and beastmen will be defending tower instead of you.Originally Posted by Khamsin
Also of note, I'm wondering if that bar underneath the region people have been talking about has to do with the amount of friendly npc's there are in the zone in relation to beastmen npc's that take part in campaign.
I noticed earlier that Grauberg's bar was down to almost nothing earlier and there was a ton of friendly npc's guarding the tower. Now the bar is full and there's none. And each starting nation has their bar set to nothing it looks like 24/7.
EDIT: North Gustaberg [S]'s bar is a little over half and there seems to be less guards there than before when the bar was lower. Mobs are weaker as well, but that could be from something else.
And one more thing, LOL at this guys name.

Campaign from a BLM perspective:
Now currently on my 12k exp earned,
To cap exp at 600, all you need to do is sleepga about 20 mobs twice, die once, and just hang around for 15 min or so.
15 min seems to be time since you get the Allied Tag for the exp to hit the cap 600. Increments seem to go up in fives.
I ga3 x 4 a wall for about 5-10 min for 250/250. So hitting walls (and bringing down defense) helps it seems.
Campaign after Update:
Battle of Grauberg
- I showed up late, when i showed up the 2nd Legion Scouts were literally retreating to Gustaberg being chased by the Quadav. I arrived at the hill, waited with others for 5 mins, then they show up. Bi'Gho Headtaker shows up and one guy takes the adds away, and we fight Headtaker (Note, Bastok moral is minimal, causing NPCs to flee). Ore Lob RAPED majority of us. Fight took 4 minutes about, I got kill shot. We begin fighting the group that chased 2nd legion, who returned, they warped.
Total killed: 1 (NM)
EXP: 400
Notes: 400
where do you evaluate to rank up?Originally Posted by Rocl
As a side note, I cashed in tags, got a fresh one, and rested as I was weakened. Campaign ended and I got 1 AN and 0 exp. So it seems you get 1 AN regardless.Originally Posted by Rocl
There should be an NPC dressed like a C.A. (teleport guy) that isn't a teleporter. I know in Bastok and Windurst they hang out by the Auction House and that new building respectively, where the San d'Orian guy is by the East Ronfaure zone.Originally Posted by Elavon
EDIT:
New medals raise the cap on Campaign battles (as expected by the NPC text)
Brass Ribbon § § gave me 700exp from defending the Ronfaure, 356 Allied Notes
Name of the NPC is Alfred. Also, evaluation seems to be similar to tags and happen exactly 5 days after your last instead of being based on JP midnight.Originally Posted by Rocl
Oh yeah, which new items can you buy with brass ribbon rank?
There's nothing new to purchase, I assume because it's a still "Ribbon".
That explains my 400 and 200 theory earlier.Originally Posted by Sekkite

So basically people are saying 15 minutes of Campaign = max points roughly? Pre-update, you could get 600->600->600 in a matter of minutes.![]()
looks like SE ruined campaign battles for me, i was barely ever able to hit cap as 63blm, got pretty close most of the time during the longer battles with lotsa ppl
i havent tried it myself yet but if its true what people are saying im going to get shafted even more so now
Really, really annoyed at the change in Campaign.
Ronf, 20 minutes spent, the NPCs all killed the mobs before I could get a swing in. (Had buffed myself and NPCs while waiting.) 0 reward.
Bat Downs, 35 minutes spent. NPCs kiled the mobs before I even saw them. (Had buffed while waiting.) 20 XP.
What's the point? I lost AN by doing these (teleported out to Bat Downs = 80 AN cost).
Just stay away from zones which have a shitload of NPC's.Originally Posted by ThistleChaser
