    Re: Campaign discussion

Ok i just did some tests by timing and caping exp with cure 5 spam:

    Code:
    Lengh of tag Max Exp
    30 sec - 0
    1minute - 50
    3minutes - 150
    6minutes - 300

Well... not a hugh sample size but it seems kind of logical the cap rises by 50 EXP/Notes every minute up to 600 with the first medal. So 12 Minutes to reach cap.

Furthermore waiting 2 minute and doing nothing but 1x Cure 5 for 772HP gave 75 EXP and 38 Notes. About 16 times Cure 5 in 12 minutes cap at 600 notes for max efficiency on my part.

Would be interesting to know if you can spam points early and afk after, or you need to get points as soon the max is raised.

Also, I'm wondering if it's better to turn in full tag for evalution, or turning multiple 10xp tag have negative impact.

    Re: Campaign discussion

I just did a cure 5 in the first 10 seconds after getting tag. I waited 2 minutes and cashed it - got 70 EXP. So it seems you can afk when you really reach the cap early.

    Re: Campaign discussion

You have to rest after doing that though. I think a much easier way to earn exp, faster and more efficiently is to simply melee as a WHM. Now, when there are no monsters around sure it'd be a decent idea to do this but there should always be a place you can go and it'd be better than sitting around casting Cure V on yourself. Besides, do you really want to be the guy who does nothing and everybody just watches cheat the system?

Anyway, I stand by my statement earlier, it's much more efficient to simply put on that Reverend Mail, sub Ninja and get your Suppa and go to town. You earn exp much more quickly and efficiently and hey, you can still throw cures around in the middle of a fight if you see someone needing it. Everbody wins.

By the way, 6 minutes is not a cap of 300, that simply can't progress like that. I've seen Ninjas I'm with fight a single mob and turn in for 600. Your testing seems a bit off.

Sometimes you have to wait around for ages till mobs come. Then the mobs show and all the Windy NPCs -GA them dead in 20 seconds

Maybe the first tag has no time cap tied to it so you can instanlly whore 600 points. But from the 2nd tag on its definetly 300.

    Re: Campaign discussion

It takes roughly 20-30 minutes I've found from the moment campaign begins (music plays) until when mobs actually attack. I sometimes do the -HP,+HP cure 4 macro on RDM when I have nothing else to do, or I go around buffing the NPCs with Protect/Shell 4, turn in get usually 400-500 points, rest and wait for the mobs to arrive. I also usually go up ahead and aggro them first (the Yags on Cerberus are extremely weak and Phalanx makes most of their hits do 0-5) and DD so I make sure I get the full 600/600. Then move on back to the NPCs and let them -aga and kill the mobs in like 30s. That strategy has worked for all places where Windurst was defending except once when Gnats were part of the incoming mobs and they killed me very fast.

For those doing Grauberg[S] campaign, No'Mho and his guards are the easy ones. Go'Bhu are the ones that are higher level so take care with them.

    Re: Campaign discussion

Lately a lot of NPCs in Campaign have been standing on top of the fort, then drawing their weapons and running across the zone to engage a single mob while a group of other mobs attacks the fort. I can't tell if this is a tactic being used by the beastmen or a glitch, since it's happened so many times before that no mobs attacked and no mobs were discovered by the NPCs. Either way, it's a total pain in the ass, and it always leaves about four or five NPCs at the base to get picked apart by the enemy before they start working on the fort.

edit: also fuck Shadoweye and his fucking Gnats I fucking hate them

Nope. I killed four orcs (along with three others, so not a super-fast kill per orc) and dealt well over 2000 damage, yet when I went to cash in afterwards, I got 500 xp/500 notes. This on the first tag mind you.

Think I just found a glitch, my friend and I were in Rolanberry campaign when we died to a bunch of Quadavs. Someone came by to raise us but before they did we got tractor'd. Since it looks like we "zoned" our Allied Tags were removed as were all the points we would have accumulated.

Tractor counts as zoning, always has, and zoning removes your tag for campaign. Makes sense that it removes your tag from a technical point of view, though it does suck. I don't think it is a "glitch" as such, more just something that could do with being changed, but probably won't be.

I just stood there with all of them on me outside of melee range and let other DDs pick them off one-by-one.

Was killing some in Vunkerl, walked up on like 7 plinking at the tower...I think they were all missing it, couldn't tell from filters.

Me and two Sams raped them all down.

Few minutes later a bunch of really confused looking elvaan chick NPC's showed up.

    "Wut, we miss party?"

Yeah...the only orc groups that are remotely hard is Battlemaster Vatgit and his Longtooth Clan Pillager...the bane of Eldieme Necropolis.

The rest of them are like...fucking pussies

Hell, with Sandorian on Sylph having capped morale with stronghold fortification as the national policies...if you don't intercept them, you'd have the NPC obliterating them with their 300-600 damage/hit

This is especially true in Ronfaure and Battalia...

    Re: Campaign discussion

    BLM Perspective II
    ==============

Launched an offensive on Eldieme today (almost) solo on BLM and with some NPC help reduced the defense to 136/150 from 150.

The Orcs are happily hiding in one of the torch rooms, all 10 of them in -ga range. I did (ga3 > die > rr) x 2, waited for double weakness to recover and turned in tag.

Result is 400 > 500 > 600 > 236 (because people started arriving and mpking me) - Full length of the campaign.

Reduced all 10 orcs including boss(Vatgit group) by ~25 to 30% hp (They don't regenerate.). Halfway through another BLM saw what I was doing and joined me.

If people weren't silly enough to run headlong into the room with the orcs, and then running straight at us with the train, I suppose us 2 blms could have reduced the orcs by 50% hp by the time it ends.

This tactic doesn't work well outdoors where the mobs are more spread out. To hit cap in 2 -ga, I think you will need to hit at least 5-6 mobs.

If I have a full blm group, 5 people ga3, and 1 person sleepga (just ignore the boss)...I would think it is possible we can wipe out the whole room of orcs in half a campaign run or weaken them so much that the NPC will just walk over them. Or better yet, 1 person start off by sac-ing the boss using sleepga (all will sleep except the boss) and have some outside people hit on the boss while the blms bully the rest of the mobs.

    --------------------
BLMs when weakened, can still gain a lot of points by rr > sleepga > die and repeat. Not to mention this tends to help the NPC if you get a lot of the enemy.

It's always reset your point in Besieged as well, nothing new really.

    Re: Campaign discussion

It's been stated that you can raise fortifications in a zone by killing the Beastman not involved in campaign. Does this have any affect on Morale? Reason being that as of right now, there is no Kindred zone, however there are Spriggans in The Eldieme Necropolis. I'm sure this is across the board that Kindreds have extremely high morale and are impossible to defeat. If we could lower their morale by killing the Spriggans, then they would be much easier to handle.
