After i started damaging it, "Freelance" npcs starting showing up damaging the fort, Maximillian and -something- Bull ( A Galka). I mean they were unleasing all sorts of hell on it...

I did the same thing in Pashow Marshlands when the Quads had moved to invade Grauberg and North Gustaberg. Pulled a Snipper and started AoEing the fort, then a Dancer npc came with her group of Field Musician NPCs and the Hume 1st Muskateers with the spears that cast magic. Beating it down crazy...
    These are elements of sabotage.

If the beastmen force that occupies a region invades an allied region, beastmen-controlled fortifications become vulnerable. If your nation is applying sabotage strategies, then they will send NPC forces to attack forts under beastmen control (this probably affects the presence of NPCs in an allied defensive campaign). You will also be able to use AoE to attack the forts at this time; however, this means you would not participate in the actual campaign battle going on elsewhere. Think of it like the thankless, soul-crushing labor that goes into backstage Besieged.

I'm not sure if beastmen forts become exposed if the beastmen are holding a defensive campaign battle in a different region. Say, if Quadav control Pashhow and Rolanberry and there is a campaign battle going on in Rolanberry only, would Pashhow be vulnerable?

    Re: Campaign discussion

Hardest mobs mean longer attack, and since you are from bastok, you can make more points. It's not that bad. Hopefully, they are going to balance a lot of stuff in 2 months with next update.
I understand what you're saying, but no, it does'nt, unless you have the PC numbers to back it up. Bastok isn't Sandoria -- there aren't 60 people going out to protect their zones. Bastok is lucky to have 20 PCs at max, and with no NPCs against 30+ Vanguard or Heavyshell Quadav (sickening defense, and if its a Vanguard thf, sickening evasion), it takes at least 10 people to kill one in a reasonable time.

By that time, the other quads have either attacked the fort unclaimed, as we don't have enough people, or if someone has slept them, they've woken up, killed the mages who slept them, and then proceeded to party-hate kill everyone else, or enough to cripple the numbers long enough for them to go back and blow up the tower, then warp. Ergo, most of the "hardest mob" fights equal a shorter fight, since nobody can stop them from tearing the tower apart and warping.

Sandorians on Hades also don't like to go to bastokan zones. They'll protect their house, and maybe hit the Fort, but no Grauberg, Gustaberg, Pashhow, or Crawlers Nest. Everyone kinda pitches in at Rolanberry, but the Quads are so retarded there that 30 people have to gang up on 2 normal mobs to kill them, and by then, the NPCs are dead, so the Quads have never had a challenge there.

The system would be all good and well if they scaled the NM damage and strength proportionately to the number of people signed up for each represented nation. Sandy fights should be the hardest, not the joke that they are now -- my Pld can solo 3 of the orcs in jugner any given day, because they hit like pussies, always miss with ranged attacks, and run at the first sight of an Elvaan.

    Factual QQ over.

    Re: Campaign discussion

jesus stop crying about it omg. there are some NMs/Groups that are easy and some that are hard. Vatgit and his merry band of Orc are harder then the gimper ones and some of the Yagudo are harder then others. It's the same way with the Quads. I just went out and solo'd a few gimp Quads on my 64NIN/17DNC and then pulled a different one and nearly got owned. Some mobs are weak, some are hard. That's how it is in every nation. SE isn't going to gimp Quads just because nobody cares about Bastok..

I've fought gimp Yags, Orcs and Quads and I've fought Hard Yags, Orcs and Quads.

I think the big reason people don't help on passhow/grauberg etc is the fact that the Quadavs are freaking monsters. I see many people of many nations sign up to whichever they want, but so long as the Quads can be smacked for 1-5 damage (with their 100% acc mindyou) that'll keep people away.

I've fought weaker quadavs, but that was before the monday conquest, I have no doubts that monday conquest changes strength of monsters for said nation.

Well its not just me that has an issue with it, obviously, and as for crying? Gonna tell Wafik the same? I've seen you "cry" about things plenty of times. Cast the first stone when you're sin-free.

But back to the thread at hand -- its pretty much confirmed that the longer you keep your tags after a fight, the higher your cap threshold -- 1.5 and 2.1k for 30 and 45 minute fights that dragged out because our team of 12 pulled out swords instead of our 2-handed big weapons and just poked for a long time. I suppose one could simply finish the fight and wait, but then you run the risk of having another campaign come right behind it and just wipe your score to 0.

Its worth the risk, though, if you're hovering over the 1k mark per fight.

I would but Wafik didn't cry about it, there are some Gimp Quads and some monster Quads, it's the same everywhere. The reason Bastok fails is because most people don't care about Bastok. Like I said, I've solo'd mobs of every race and I've had mobs of every race pwn me. Some Yag NMs have a move that does 1k exactly and it's AoE, it pwns.

You can call it crying if you want -- reality is reality, and that is the reality of the situation. Say what you will.

    Re: Campaign discussion

The reality is each race has hard sets and each race as gimp sets. The reality is, Bastok just seems to suck and less people seem to try there. Let's gimp the mobs just for you though, so your group doesn't suck so much. Bastok got off to a bad start on my server but they quickly bounced back and took Grauberg. I just don't see how Quads are as bad as everyone says, everytime I fight them I do fine. If I come accross the nasty ones I tend to die once or twice but the same shit happens when I come accross the nasty Orcs/Yagudo.

What nasty orcs? Theres only 2 worth mentioning, and thats Overlord and One-eyed, and they're both NMs. Go fight a Quluun Heavyshell solo in Rolanberry and see if you walk away to tell the tale.

It has nothing to do with Bastok wanting a free handout -- EVERYONE is complaining about retarded the Quadav are compared to the other beastmen -- do yourself a favor and look back in this thread and see for yourself, instead of assuming that I'm the only person in existence with this mindset.

SE looks at this forum, and we all know that pointing out a problem is a good way of getting it fixed -- after all, enough "pointing out problems" is what got us into this craptastic version of Campaign compared to two days ago. I have no idea why you're going nuts -- Bastok taking Grauberg is nothing -- its right outside of their starter zone. We took Grauberg in an instant, but that's 2 controlled areas compared to Sandy's 4 and Windy's 3. There's no hope for Rolanberry, and Pashhow looks almost as grim.

Bottom line: you think you're in the majority about the imbalance between some of the beastmen, but there's plenty of people that will debate to the contrary. I don't care if you think I'm "crying" or not -- I've heard worse. You're free to speak your mind, but allow me the same courtesy.

    Re: Campaign discussion

Bastok on Alexander is not doing so bad. They have only had 3 zones so far, but we usually have 30-50 people at fights and have yet to lose a zone besides CN (pre-patch).

We always have a sch NPC in gruaberg that likes to blow stuff away, and we usually have a lon NPC soloing quads at the fort in pashow until a PC shows up and helps. Once we do, a horde of dancers show up and beat on the fort.

Bastok currently has 6 stars for supplies though, and only 1 star for everything else.

    I've only seen a few NPC's lately.

We have roving hordes of carbunclians destroying everything.

Screw your NPC's, a bunch of bored players jumping on any chance to Campaign wrecks everything in minutes.

We made the bad ass Yags in Meri run off...

Totally untrue. The only gimp squadrons of Quadav are the Dadough Vanguard (Gustaberg only) and No'Mho's Elite Guard (Grauberg only). Ever since last Campaign report, Bastok's been in first on my server, so it seems like the Kindred have been attacking us in force, and the Vanguard and Elite Guard NEVER show alone. They always have a Shadowbodypart or Heavyshell squad with them, if they even do show up instead of a stronger group of Quadavs. Seeing as for whatever fuckdamn reason our NPCs refuse to spawn lately, we're usually stuck with a group of about 10 X-Bow Spamming NPC WARs at best to fend off ~20+ Mobs and two bosses. It really just does not work out, especially with Shadoweye or Shadowfang. In addition, the Heavyshells are fucking ridiculous, and could kick the asses of any Orcish or Yagudo squadron any day of the week. What chance do 10 random PCs stand up against these badasses? They're retardedly powerful and their leader just makes things worse by spamming Shadowbreaking AoE that does four digit damage. Quadavs are overpowered, try doing campaign in Bastokan areas more often and you'll pick up on it.

seems like there's more people taking part in bastok's defenses. I'm starting to like the overpowered quadav campaigns that last over an hour. There's 20+ people in the zone and over half of them can raise woot.

I'm from San d'Oria but I just got done doing an hour long battle in Grauberg so after that I'd say I'm pretty familiar with the power of the Quadav. On Diabolos the Quadav and the Yagudo have the same strengths and the Orcs are pathetic. I'm sure it has something to do with the Orcs having zero morale and zero prosperity and the other two having max out morale and prosperity. I've got to say though, my most favorite area so far for battle has to be Grauberg since I just got done there and ended up with 1370 limit points and 686 allied notes. It had to last at least an hour long with two seperate waves of NMs and bodyguards coming one after the other.

Grau has been pitiful everytime I've caught it.

I haven't specifically camped it, as I just go where I find them having recently started.

    GODDAMN THIS FUCKING LAGGY CMAP!

FIX IT NAO OR GIVE US MORE CAMPAIGNS!

    *breathes*

Interesting thing though, Orc and Yag morale is just a wisp above 0, Quad morale is almost 1, prosperity too.

    Re: Campaign discussion

Yags and Quads have max morale on Hades -- only the Orcs are failing miserably. No prosperity and no morale whatsoever -- its kind of hilarious since they're supposed to be the most "savage" of the 3 beastmen races.

Since everyone is talking about how NPCs are doing a lot of crazy zerg rushes, I may try to form a group to take down Pashhow before Monday's tally -- Theres no hope for Rolanberry whatsoever, but it'd be nice to be able to get at least 3 territories for Bastok. The one thing I do like is the fact that Bastokans on Hades are pretty zealous about protecting what little territories they have. No matter how many times the Quads attack Grauberg, our little rag-tag team of about 35 strong (during peak NA hours) will leave other fights if we find out that Grau is under attack.

I don't think that's what he means. /cmap lags so far behind when the music (and therefore Campaign) starts in a given zone that it's nearly useless. And most battles are so short now that even if you're standing on the teleport NPC, if you go as soon as you see that sword icon appear, it's almost over by the time you get out there. I have to rely on LS members camping zones to tell me when things start.

The NPCs are acting mad weird from what I've seen. They don't even show up half the time or if they even come, it's when most of the mobs are already dead.
