I am normally not a person to whine about how 'unfair' or 'broken' FFXI game mechanics are, but I will say that there is a very large difference between Beastman forces in Campaign. There are strong and weak divisions from every army, but the Quadav definitely have the edge in the ratio of strong to weak divisions. If you truly think otherwise, you either haven't done Campaign enough or are full of shit, or possibly both. I find it ironic that most supporting the 'Bastok just sucks' argument have admittedly never actually been to Rolanberry/Pashhow, or at least not on a regular basis.
BLU soloing a single Quadav with Utsu doesn't say much about the strength of that unit. I can literally take on 6-7 Yagudo in Meriphataud/Sauromugue at the same time(if they're the right kind) without breaking a sweet. That's something that could never be done with Quadav in Pashhow/Rolanberry. If I had to rate each beastman army in terms of strength, I'd say Quadav > Yagudo > Orcs.
Anyways, I'm still not that upset about it. If you play it right you can still win Campaign in those areas, it's just more difficult, less rewarding, and more time consuming. I enjoy the challenge of it.
