    Has anyone found any NPC freelances yet? I mean we used to have an NPC/zone that would have his/her own troops. Now we just have the normal NPCs that show up leaderless. I am wondering if we started with the freelances (some of them) already enlisted, and now that zone changes have happened we need to find them and enlist them again.

    On another topic, does anyone know how to increase resources in a particular region? Bastok is sitting at 300/300, but grauberg is getting very low. My ls has tried doing various campaign ops to replenish them, but to no avail.

    Edit: Grauberg is getting attacked by kindred/gigas/quads now, so getting our resources up is a priority to some of us.

    Well, this is probably coincedence but, I went and AoE'd rolanberry fort for a while (no tags, so no aggro). After I went back to grauberg and a bunch of iron mustketeers and an NPC one spawned when I did. About 5 minutes later campaign music finally started.Can we actually trigger them to spawn by our actions?

    After doing more than 30 hours campaign, I've found out something.

    1. The exp/AN you gain in campaign has cap(everyone knows about this), but it seems the cap will raise up to 1500(someone had close to 3000 from 2 consecutive battles) at the most depends on how long the battle last. I'm only at bronze ribbon, so I don't know if the cap will raise for brass ribbon or not.

    2. Sometimes battle ends fast, and people would whine about that. I guess that's because most people don't know about why it ends. Battle will end either the beastmen got beaten up or the tower got beaten up(from what I notice, it's the "Fortifications" goes down 3 points). Most of time, if people see a NM(even it's shadowhand. ~_~), they will all go attack it and leave other minors attack the tower. In that situation, battle will sure end fast. So if u are a mage or a tank, try sleep or kite the mobs nobody is fighting, that will help a ton.

    P.S. I don't have the patience to go over all the post in here, if someone has post the info I talk about, just ignore me. XD

    it's more than just that, there was a campaign in rolanberry not long ago and it only lasted 5 minutes. The beastmen were defending and there was only a small band of us (7 or 8) fighting one Quadav who warped as soon as we got him down to... 67%?

    I'm getting a bit confused with this. Before they did the "point calculation" update, I could get max points by meeling on my WHM (Gullintani/Kclub so it wasn't like I was doing no damage...shit I tanked 90% of the mobs). Now, I just did a campaign at Vunkerl Inlet and I fought every mob, did probley 25% of total damage on them. Went back to be evaluated, I got 495/496 while others I know I did more damage than got 720/600ish. So, I then went to another one, and did nothing but cure people. When I was evaluated i got 0/0 Q_Q.

    I've gotten bronze and brass ribbons.

    Well i was just in pashhow waiting for the quads to attack grau or gusta so i could hit the fort, when out of the blue sonia and her field musicians popped and started wailing on it. I hadn't even done anything yet, they showed up by themselves. I also never saw a campaign going on in grau or gusta so that was weird since i thought that was a prerequisite for them to come attack like that. But anyway, i grabbed a snipper and started doing -ga nukes. We took their fortification down from 147 to 135.

    About an hour before this, there had been a campaign in the area and we only had like 5 ppl show up for it. The npcs killed one or 2 of the quads, and then the quads warped out when there were a couple npcs left. I was eating dirt the majority of the time because i tried to sleepga the heavyshells and an npc did an aoe ws =(

    I don't think ppl understand the concept of campaign in a beastmen controlled area yet. I've noticed ppl just pretty much stand around and wait for something to happen during those, when what ur supposed to be doing is going to attack the mobs at the fort cuz they don't come to u in that case. I even saw one person that was content to just stand and watch as the quads raped our npcs while i was lying dead on the ground. Wtf people?

    SE really needs to get rid of this stupid system where the tags have a cap based on how long they've been active. I just got 310exp/310 notes from one set of tags I had on for the entire campaign battle, during which I did a total of over 11,000 damage.

    You spent 5 minutes, who cares if you casted some thundaga IIIs that did that much damage.

    310 is fair for 5 minutes.

    The time based caps are perfect, the problem is the length of the battles.

    It sucks because minus travel costs, I'm up like 200 notes? And I did all of that with melee damage. I bring the fucking A-game and I get shafted. I do less than I did that match, die, and lay on the ground for 10 minutes, and I could easily triple that.

    Have you .. I dunno... tried actually holding your tags for a bit longer after the campaign has finished? The hard cap on the tags increases based on time spent HOLDING THE TAGS, not time spent in campaign.

    Let me spell it out for you: instead of rushing to warp to the next zone like a sheep, wait around with your tags still active after a match has finished -- say, 10 minutes or so. You'll turn that 300 xp into 1.5k. The only downside to this is that if you wait too long, and a new match starts, your points are erased.

    Its a risk, but then again, what in life isn't?

    They just need to fix the overcrowding of it so that they don't die in less than 2 seconds.

    Some people like to actually play the game, and don't consider standing still for 10 minutes hoping a new event DOESN'T start to be playing. In its current form the system is poorly designed. Rewarding waiting around doing nothing rather than going to the next front... what were they thinking? I don't mind the capping based on time spent in campaign, but they need to do something about making travel cheaper or free in terms of notes while campaign is going on.

    I don't like the current system either -- I'm one of the staunch opposers to the change -- but you can either adapt to the changes, or you can continue to follow the old style, and complain about it. My method is proven to work, and regardless of how shitty this new system is (I'd give a lot for a return to the old one), there IS a method to reap the rewards for your work. I agree with you, but my point wasn't to say that this new shitty system is perfect, but that its been found out how things are calculated, so you can now use it to your advantage -- yes, it just means you're standing around a bit, but if you were only fighting to fight, you can still do that and get your measly 200xp per warp.

    Whether you want to do them or not does not demean the fact that a solution has been found, tested, and proven to work.

    Eh, I think they'll be doing another update soon. SE has constantly shown that they tweak things too far in either direction with cleanup patches and have to do more later to fix a problem they made with their "fix."

    Hopefully they'll do another maintainence soon when they add in the freelance stuff.

    Anyone else noticing that the NPC's for the "good guys" are spawning AFTER a battle is finished, hanging out, then fighting in the next one and warping? I just did an offensive mission in Passhow where NO NPC's showed up at all. That makes no sense. I can see defensive NPC's possibly spawning late due to low reconnaissance levels (they didn't see the attack coming and had to scramble) but having the army not show up for an offensive battle? It doesn't seem to be working correctly.

    I do like the ability to talk to the "boss" NPC's for the city forces when no battle is happening though - most of them are assholes!

    I've shown up to a couple fights where there was a group of NPCs loitering about the fort, without a leader, which then popped once the music began. Kind of weird.

    This might be a stupid question, but I thought you could only gain exp/notes when you had the Campaign sword icon on?
