Nah, didn't pay THAT much attention, but I did notice some people must have been stationing mules in various zones or something because certain groups must have gotten there JUST as they started.
By the time the map shows a battle and you warp out, they're turning in tags.
lol, people who are whining how short the campaign battle it's now reminds me when everyone complained about the campaign battle took like 1-2 hours to finish. No matter what SE do, there will be someone still whine about this and that. WoTG is only been out for 2 weeks, why not just be patient and see how SE will improve campaign.
Nah, I got 2995, unless you meant allied notes.Originally Posted by tymora

I wish that were the case. Just had a long fight vs Orc BLMs on Batallia, beat all but 1, then the music stopped... and started in about 20 seconds. I got 0 points, and now I'm standing around listening to music and no mobs are anywhere to be seen.Originally Posted by tymora

Same thing happened in Eldieme too. Shadowsomething popped, fought, depopped, then repopped before I could get credit.
People complained about campaign "starting" and nothing happening for 30 mins. Not campaign taking too long, who wouldn't welcome a decent length campaign? Before the music would start and it would take 30-45 mins for anything to actually start happening.Originally Posted by Simomchan
Now that there's only 2 campaigns going on at any given time, it should be even easier to implement WotG Wide system messages announcing when a campaign is starting without it spamming too much.

poidh i know i'll warp around tonight and see and SS it... got 20k AN to burn through.
He didn't mean that litterally, what he's saying is they are way more rare than before... WAY way more rare.Originally Posted by Koga
Campaign been going on for hours now in battalia downs s on Gilgamesh, NPC is surrounded by campaign mob. People need to get tags and run and hope they get far enough to be raised without the raiswer aggroing everything.
Were throwing bodies after bodies on mob, kill one every 20 minutes.
3 hours later, still going on. Killed most orc, couldnt get the Gnole killed because its 80%+ moon and they just benediction non stop, and now reinforcement from Xarcabard came.. Shadoweye with gnats...
Most people left, doubt this is going to end.
Granted this doesn't sound like something you'd want to happen all the time, but I wish I could join that haha. Be sure to post how much EXP/AN you get.Originally Posted by Master of Puppets

Now I just came back brd and nothing really going on, nobody even trying, all we have left is Alpha Gnole Anders, 5 Moonfang Warriors (gnole), Shadoweye and 10ish shadoweyes gnat.
Aint getting another tag because nobody is doing anything really and to turn your tag in you actually have to run for npc, get lucky, have enough time to turn the tag in. Which is easy, but then while you do it, you do get aggroed by campaign mob, and since your tags is out, you die and lose xp.
Im just auto following Alpha Gnole Anders and laughing at people getting raped trying to turn tag in, or get a new one.
Edit: This was actually really fun while we had orcs (somewhat killable mob, even if NMs OS you on tp move) but gnole on 80%+ moon seems unkillable, lowest we got one was 60% with melee, we did Get ALpha Gnole Anders down to 50% DOT kitting it, but the person doing it died and now its back to 82%.
Edit 2: We just got NPC reinforcement. they lasted about 30 seconds before they got totally owned.
That, and the stated goal behind Campaign is that players can participate as much or as little as they want..."come and go as they please". Well, we can't do that now. 90% of the time, even if you're standing on top of the NPC to teleport you out, by the time /cmap shows that sword icon you might as well not even bother. In order for players to really participate as they'd like, Campaign has to occur relatively frequently, be of a reasonable length, and allow the player to determine, with reasonable accuracy, when it happens in a particular area.Originally Posted by Lordwafik
Sure, sometimes I AFK my character in an area, turn up the music, and read a book, waiting to see if a battle will happen. But that's LAME. I should just be able to say "I'd like to do some Campaign. Where can I go?", and go, and be able to participate meaningfully. What's supposed to be a casual activity really isn't at the moment.
Also, I think a major driving force behind the complaints of Campaign lasting too long was the vanishing quest NPCs, and they've fixed that independent of the length of Campaign battles. Long battles themselves aren't a problem; you can leave and claim your reward whenever you want. Short battles, however, are.
I'm still a fan of Campaign, much more so than Besieged, but it was closer to perfect before the latest patch.
How are we supposed to conquer any territory when there's almost never an attack to join on Yag strongholds. And in the rare case that there is one, since the update you are lucky if you can make it there and pull 1 Yag before the music stops and the mobs warp.Originally Posted by Rocl
We've got tons of people here huddled around the NPC waiting for a chance to help Windurst let alone join any campaign battle, its ridiculous. I waited here for close to 45 minutes last night without a battle starting anywhere.
And as far as us losing west sarutabaruta since the last conquest update, I dont really understand it. Every battle I fought there we did very well, kept all the mobs off the fort and would kill most of them before they retreated. Our fortifications were around 100 last night, but our resources were getting really low.
It almost seems like Bastok and Windy lost their noob zones this update because they ran out of resources in the zone. Does anyone know what is draining the resources or how to replenish them? Are all the instant rr people are going through costing us the zone or what?
I should also add that I haven't seen an npc attacking a Yag or Quadav stronghold, or an npc defending Windurst or Bastok in a couple of days.
God, I'd love to have some big roiling chaotic battle going on like that one with AGA and the others on 80% moon.
I had some amazingly fun battles, then they nerfed it, it's not so fun when 60 people zerg shit down.
Maybe Xarc will just be one big almost 24/7 Battle, you go up to NPC, get your tags, some RR, run in and die in glorious battle.
Certainly by doing the corresponding Campaign Ops.Originally Posted by Foosk

Check the start rating of your nation in question. I bet you'll have around 3-4 stars. I think those campaign ops increase the foundations of your nation, not the actual zones in question.
I know our bastok has 4-star resources from people spamming the ops, but that actually hasn't transitioned into having maxed resources for the actual zones. To do that, I believe, you'd have to suggest that your nation focus on keeping the supply lines safe. Last week when that was one of our Bastok's primary focuses (that and base defense), our resources replenished quite rapidly, and was a big reason why we never had Grauberg or Gustaberg touched.
Now if only we could do something about Pashhow..
That sounds like a good thing to try next. Unfortunately we have already inputted our suggestions for this week (my ls). Our current strategy is sabotage and pre-emptive strikes, this appears to be dropping the quadav forts quite steadily between campaign battles. You can randomly see NPCs zerging the forts then warping (kinda like what beastmen do to us.)Originally Posted by Lucavi
Edit: I don't know why other servers have a lack of campaign battles, but Alexander currently has 5 going on. The beastmen only have 3 zones, so this may have some effect on it.
