I just cranked out 25,000 Exp in campaign while watching adult swim, add that to the 10,000 or so I got the other day, so I'm quite certain that whatever the requirement is, if I can rank up to Wings, I will be tomorrow afternoon. (wasn't home to catch my rank ups on time a couple times T.T)

It takes over 35k xp to rank past emblems and to wings?! or is that because you missed a few rank ups? cause i hit copper emblem last night (started campaign later than most) and it only took slightly more than 6000XP (5000XP is you minus what i got from OPs) can you clerify if you know?

Or they just don't let you get to wings right now. I did alot of campaign myself and I'm also at the "You dont have enough to rank up..." message.

I'm going to do some tests on how much exp/an you need to get from Campaign battles to rank up. Has anyone done this yet? (btw, I still need to wait a few days until I can do it).

I'm just saying that I've gotten nearly 40,000 Exp since I got Holyknight Emblem (was grinding out my last couple merits for Str #4 while watching TV, so nice and simple) and if you can rank up, I'm pretty sure 40k/20k is enough.

As for Garlaige, the mobs ALMOST always follow the same path, some rare times they seem to go through gate #1 to gate #3, and you will find mobs back there, if I can't see anything, or see the NPC's running that way (what first cued me in) I sneak up and go poke around in behind the two gates to see where they went.

This may have been discussed earlier (20+ pages meep), but has anyone ever had mobs in Garlaige just not turn up? I gave up after waiting 40 mins with about 20 others for some mobs to arrive... I've not done a lot of Campaigns outside Jugner until recently and this was my first expedition to Garlaige, so maybe it's normal there >_>; but man, 40 mins of hanging around sucks donkey balls lol.

I was in one Garlaige campaign where it took 30-40 minutes for the first wave to show up (then the next two waves came about 5 minutes later). It's only happened once out of the dozen or so attacks that I've participated in there, though.

Hmm, sounds like it might be a bit bugged then. We were running all over the zone trying to find the mobs, so I don't think they snuck in the back so to speak! lol. There were also no NPCs so I don't think they beat us to the kill, either.

There's a thread in this forum for tracking that. It's kinda tacked onto the end of it, but it already has a few detailed rank ups in it. Its the thread about promotions, pretty recent.

depending on the job 55-60 is about the earliest that it seems worth while. I started going on sam/dnc at 55 can bank about 1000~xp per campaign, started on dnc/nin around same level but didnt get same xp till about 60+ in campaign (hit for zero too much on dnc)

so personally i'd say 60 is about it.

I'm going to laugh if when all is said and done with Campaign ranks, it ends up being 10 ranks with 4 sections each and at the end only a few people can be highest ranks in each nation each week. They would effectively taken one of the most unpopular systems in online gaming and brought it to ffxi (hi2u wow 60 cap pvp). Even if its not limited its already reminding me of it b/c you basically at higher and higher ranks have to grind out more campaign battles to keep higher ranks, unless I'm missing something.

I don't think you realize how rediculously easy it is to keep your current rank. You have 30 days to earn enough points to stay on track; and even if you go on a month break you can still come back and regain your old medal with a bit of effort. It certainly isn't difficult by any standard to rank up anyway.

I did a quick search and didn't notice anyone posting about it, so I wanted to share a little tidbit of info I found that should help people with a lot of the NMs/ops they need to do:

Effects of Campaign temp items remain after the battle is over. The items themselves disappear if they are still in your inventory, but you can do the Security fights with Body and Mana Boosts, and Reraise if you need to. Makes RDM pretty invincible killing anything in a Campaign zone.

Update: Asked a GM. He believes that the ranks haven't been implemented yet but he was unsure.

Well, I did 40,000+ Exp, well over 20,000 AN, got "We are pleased with your performance, but the allied war council at this time blah blah blah, no wings for j00."

Was going to say, perhaps it's more than 40,000/20,000... but if you got 80k, then yeah I'd say it's a safe bet that Wings simply aren't implemented yet.

I've got many of the tier three Ops, with Procurement, Transport, Security and Production all cleared 6/6. It's the damn Offensive, Defensive, Intel and Training ones I can't get past tier 1. ><

As a matter of fact, I have yet to see a single Intel Op pop up. I wonder if you need to lose your area adjacent to the stronghold, like Jugner, Pashow or Merip.

Perhaps. I've done Hawk Eye I & II and Slaughterhouse I, and they were all in Meriphitaud.

Keep in mind that SE is giving time for the people that couldn't rank up ever 5 days on the dot. An extra month is a bit much as far as extra time is concerned, but don't fault them for not having it the minute you've exhausted the content. (A lot of people seem to be doing just that).

Nah, as I figure it even when released it'll take at least a month to get to Medal ranks, and most of the items will prob be 50k AN (50k is being genorous) just for one piece of armor. Even now at 180k AN I'll still have to farm for items. Still fun and Sch makes it fun at least.

Else, a lot of people are going to lose all their work, and SE is going to have a lot of angry customers. A whole lot.
