Windy doesn't need any freelances anyway. They have overpowered Zonpa-Zippa, and that Kaypal BLM taru. Zonpa might summon 2 freaking Perytons and they go destroying waves of yagudos <_<. That said, it's hard to get any hits or kills in windy. Meanwhile Bastok and Sandy are in hell, so yea the need all the help they can get.

Pssh. Windy does fine vs. Yagudo, but can get wrecked when an added wave of Kindred shows up. Federation regulars have a lot of firepower, Mithras a more modest melee ability, but it's the pets that are the heavy hitters. Lutete's elementals, the Mithra with her greater birds, or the worm brigade in Fort K-N. One unit on one unit, Gigas do a heckuva lot of damage to the defenders. Given any help, that's usually a rout.

What are you, 5 years old? Btw you have your NPCs wrong. It's actually Mithra BST who summons them.

I've seen Gariri's Flame Giant wipe the gnats with just a little bit of outside curing. Go go Inferno every 2 seconds.

Exactly. Windurstian pets tend to be the tough guys- the Tarutaru/Mithra themselves aren't durable, but they can seriously dish it out AND generally so can the pets. I'll sit there pumping Cure IV's into pets and the mob won't even blink my direction from taking so much from avatars/BST pets.

Having watched the 2nd Legion, Striking Bull, and 8 or 9 amused onlookers take a Sandworm from 50%-0% in moments, I think Bastok is doing JUST fine.

    Re: Campaign discussion

It's been a few weeks now. I think it's safe to say the new campaign battle features from the update are inexplicably unapparent. Freelance NPC's are the only new part of Campaign that I have witnessed. The siege turrets, mantles, bell towers, and battles in beastmen cities might as well not even have been implemented. SE would do well to explain the inner workings of campaign better if there's some niche factor required. Kind of boring and bewildering.

    Re: Campaign discussion

Speaking of boring, the Kaiser Behemoth are just sad. One came up from behind in Grauberg, and was at 50% by the time i noticed it. 3 Legionnaires were trioing him with no troubles. It was fun to fight him, I like having a chance to beat on a mob usually reserved for HNM, but It wasn't as imposing as I had hoped.

That's why I found it odd, too. I tend to AFK in my Mog House overnight, then look through the messages to see if anything new showed up. He was the only one I could find. I thought it was odd that only one leader was defeated all night (or any other time I'm in the past).
Update on this. Just now I saw "Commanding Officer Else of the First Division Cavaliers has suffered grievous wounds on the field of battle." Recon is level 7 at the moment.

Edit: Another thing I've noticed that I haven't seen mentioned is that Hundredfists job was changed to WAR it seems. I don't have my chat filters set to see the name of the 2H when he used it but last night each time he 2Hed his attack speed stayed the same and every time he hit me it was a crit, so I think he does Mighty Strikes now.

Edit 2: Prozpuz of Prozpuz' Throatrippers was gravely wounded in the course of battle. I wonder if they did a ninja maintenance on this.

Not sure if this has been asked already (searching little red bars didnt work; ; ) but can anyone tell me what exactly these little red bars are?

They show up when you move your cursor over an area on the /cmap. I noticed they seemed to reset after the conquest update as well.

    Re: Campaign discussion

I'd say a bit higher than 50, I can basically ignore a level 50 mob, or kill multiple at once, but a Campaign mob demands full attention, feels more like a low end DC with nasty TP moves at times.

    Also has gobs of HP.

    Re: Campaign discussion

I thought in this thread or some other thread it was discovered that there is a way to gauge their level by what point an automaton stops casting regen? I don't know if anyone used that to nail down an exact number though.

    Re: Campaign discussion

all i know about the mobs is that my automaton Melee skill (225) still get skill up and melee is A- so 225 is about 65 skill.

So either way you can skill for long or they are higher lv (and i tested it on the impalers in jugner forest)

    Re: Campaign discussion

Some of them are definitely higher level than others.

From memory, Waughroon's are a lot harder to keep up with /Dnc than say, Di'Dha's guards.

Partially from being Drk's, but also because they just have better acc, take hits better, etc.

I can go into Kuftal, grab two or three Robbers at once and kick their asses, probably without going below yellow HP, Campaign mobs are for the most part higher level than Robber crabs.
