Yes... or his damn pets doing it >_<

The BG wiki doesn't list all of the Freelance npcs location for some areas. Has anyone been able to find the positions depending on the town they are in? I found one that wasn't on the site:

Rainemard -- Windy : K-7 south of Aurastery on top part of Map

    It's that infernal Breakga spell........
You've got to get him far enough away from his pets that the NPC's slap him silly and don't drag the stoners into range to freeze everyone solid. The Yagudo BST is much the same pain in the ass, only they just have cone Paralyze rather than Breakga. (And oneshotsville from Scissors, ow.). If you can get a decent tank + healer on each pet and spread them out a bit, it's doable. Otherwise, rapefest.

    Re: Campaign discussion

since release i have never seen the allied troops wandering Bastok. I've seen them in Sandy, but never there. I looked over the update notes again..

The Beastman Confederate has been adjusted and will now carry out operations in a manner befitting the current tide of war, in the same manner as the Allied Forces
I wonder if this means that we will finally see city Campaign Battles.

Fiendish Leechkeepers seem to be in every Campaign zone under the normal Beastmen Confederate mobs, can anyone confirm these being the Beastmen's Physician equivalent?

Salvemixers seemed pretty worthless. Waddled around not really doing much, spent all their MP and actually started to med, then got hit with an AoE so they got up and started attacking. Their HP pools are pathetic, died almost instantly. ;|

Just updating, Fiendish Leechkeepers are Imp type mobs. They are indeed the Beastmen Physicians, they have stupid low HP. Like, seriously, stupid low. They have just about 3000 HP, I'd wager. (200 dmg was around 7%) I only ever saw them cast Cure IV and Stoneskin, not sure what else. They seem to follow pre-set paths in Beastmen controlled zones (I only encountered them in Eldieme Necropolis, which is currently Beastmen owned), and would stop at designated spots.

I also resisted the tantras a fair bit on Blue Mage.

As far as the Allied Physicians go, god I love these guys- perma Pixies that buff. I haven't seen them at every Campaign; but I've seen them at my fair share. Their curing behaviour seems to match Pixies, they cast Raise on dead players, and heal when either their HP or MP is low. I can't figure out what makes them engage though, sometimes they'll stand by and cure like real WHMs, other times they'll melee mage it up.

I don't know if it's because of the massive Elvaan HP the Royal Palliators managed to survive melee-ing Overlord Bagodek without too much of a hassle.

Also doesn't help that if you don't do Campaign for a day or two you lose "rank up" points.

The npcs taking up "stalwart defense of Windurst Waters" is starting to really grow old. Its pretty much all they do on Alexander now ~ I've considered calling a GM to bitch about how useless having the npcs sit in town are, when the Yags have complete dominance over West Sarutabaruta.

You'd think the npcs would onry be dispatched into towns when enemy mobs were being sent there direct.. which doesnt happen unless beastmen own all zones outside of town.

Sadly, GM won't do jack but this is worrying me as well... Looking at /cmap and beastmen have the full momentum bar in every zone but the cities... even though Gust/Ronf/Saru don't have any fortifications damage they're still completely leaned beastmen. Unless they do a quick patch on this we will indeed end up with all our units stuck in the cities and nothing but a constant barrage of fights into the cities next week.
Mind you I'll freaking love that since I've been waiting for it from the start, but I have a bad feeling it'll all be 5min battles where 1 beastmen unit comes in and faces all the defenders and dies instantly... and that just means it'll interrupt normal activities opposed to being epic besieged-like fun like we were all hoping the expansion would have in the first place.

There is a chance that they deliberately set it up this way so we'd have to vote for our internal policies from scratch and start with no territory whatsoever... but it's far more likely a bug in the server reset or... something. Hell if I know, but it's messed up.

    Re: Campaign discussion

Just noticed 2 new Campaign NPCs, ones a Mandroga named Babban Ny Mheillea and the other is a cactuar named Camlin. I'm behind in my Campaign news but don't recall ever seeing these prior to the update.

    Any ideas?

    Re: Campaign discussion

Same way on Bahamut also, Windurst is losing every area, Bastok is losing about half of theirs, and Sandy is only losing about 2-3 zones right now. I'm all for having a city invasion, but to have the beastmen dominate every zone will be hard to recover from. Also saw the first Belfry in Meriphataud Mountains after the Yag Pilgrims "summoned" it. Never have seen it before, but they all stood there for a good 2-3 minutes summoning before it appeared. It went down pretty easy, but only summoned 1 yagudo mob. While on the Babban topic, I seen her have the goob pet, Abenzio, while she was stationed in Windurst Waters [S] which is the first time I've seen it since we first got her months ago. Perhaps it's the pet while in the cities?

EDIT: make that 2 in a row for the Belfrys in mountains

Pretty much what happens in the beastmen strongholds when nations have all areas.

    Finally a turret!

    http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67...610_222030.jpg

Every few seconds the "head" of the turret would open up, and then shoot a cannonball out from that giant gun.

It died in about 10min with a good number of people attacking it. Predator Claws was doing about 1000 damage taking off 3-4% chunks at a time.

    Re: Campaign discussion

Seen Belfries in Meri Mountains and Grauberg on Phoenix too yesterday, don't remember who summoned it for Quadavs, for Yagudos there were always Yagudo Pilgrims. Don't have too much hp, about 10 players took it down pretty fast w/o any npc support.
Later seen like 5 pilgrims in Fort Karugo-Narugo, all were dead before they were able to summon anything (and they're not doing anything when summoning, so easy prey).

And these new npc healers who are trying to rest in middle of battle when there're -ga casting mobs around and stand immediately with staff drawn when -ga hits them... annoying.

Once I saw Belfries popping on both sides, I knew it was only a matter of time before a turret appeared....

I hope we start getting Mantelets, they should complement the healers well.

They were using a new attack that caused Bind. Filters kept me from seeing the name.

    Re: Campaign discussion

Turret just popped up in Grauberg, as well. Thing is huge.

I don't know how it is on other servers, but Bastok is getting raped. Grauberg used to be my favorite place. Get anywhere from 1 to 4 NPC groups defending it, and 1-3 mob waves at a time. Easy enough to fend off, usually.

However, after the patch, only 1 NPC group has ever showed up(Adelheid's group). They generally end up retreating, because we get 2 beastmen waves at once. Sometimes 3. We just lost a massive fight where we had 6 beastman waves, and they built a siege turret.

It's been like that for awhile. It's rare when we only have 1 beastman wave at a time. We're gonna lose grauberg, and only have north gusta next week.
