Windurst/Alexander under attack again.. last second rush of npcs was met/crippled by nubs kiting the NM's around weakened people, lost Fort-K about 10 mins after I logged out.

Windurst on bahamut made one last ditch effort to reclaim west saru[S] on Saturday. We did overrun the beastmen, and it looked like we had our own World War II. Unfortunately, the lowest we got the forti was 217/250. Not enough to reclaim it. Windy is back to being bullied by the beastmen for another week. That makes 3 weeks in a row. The Combat Salvamixers will likely never be casting high lvl support spells again lol. Meanwhile, Sandy and Bastok have overpowered NPCs ;;. It's real tough trying to take back forti in the same region as the nation. And what makes it so bad is, when there is finally a recession, we cant just go out and beat on the forti in west saru[S]. A battle has a to be started by the server first -.-.

Windy has some metal ass NPC's too, and I've seen all of Bastoks NPC's get stomped flat by wave after wave of Quads and Shadow mobs mixed in with Corse and Goblin and Behemoths, OH MY!

Yes, even Maximilian, who I shed a mantear for.

Okay, I have to bitch about something: On Asura, Windurst retook Fort Karugo-Narugo. Because of this, beastmen stopped attacking Windurst Waters. And yet, instead of defending their reclaimed fort, they still dispatch their troops to Windurst Waters who sit on their asses undertaking the "stalwart defense" of Windurst (which is no longer under attack), and just lets the Theomilitary & Dark Kindred tear up anyone defending Fort Karugo.

    What the hell is this?

The same reason the beastmen don't do the same, SE is either intentionally or unintentionally sabotaging the allies, i.e. they are retarded.

I think in order for them to defend other areas, west saru/east ron/north gust must first be under nation control. Until then, the AI of the allies are still considering that the nation is vulnerable, regardless of rather other areas are under nation control.

I tried to make the best sense of that.

There were still multiple squadrons "stalwartly defending" Windurst Waters immediately post-update, though, when Windurst still held everything but Oztroja. I really hope SE doesn't think "Yes! This is what we wanted, now it is perfect!" I guess now I'm hoping I only have to wait a few months instead of a few years for an adjustment.

It's probably a set up for the next set of quests and missions, to make it seem like the characters are actually making a difference in the world.

I have a couple of theories.
One is that those as yet unfound Ops (Cracking Shells, etc.) only activate once an enemy has control of all 7 areas within a region (4 fields, 1 dungeon, both cities) and SE is trying to force that on us to get us to experience it once. If that's the case, it's probably like the regaining the AC fight in TOA, with equally dramatic results.

The other is that this is just another in a long line of adjustments that make all of us a pack of beta testers, whether we like it or not.

In either case, SE's claim that Campaign is for lvl 50s at the lowest is a gigantic crock of shit even if you're a healer. It may have been true even after the March update, but with the way my soloing as gone lately, it seems the beastmen are more likely to win a war of attrition against me.

Did San d'Oria do this too? I don't think I ever saw them there on Asura when I did the new missions, and they've managed to hold territory.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did screw over Bastok & Windurst, given their typical favoritism to San d'Oria.

I think those require you to control everything but the enemy stronghold, judging by the description in the .DAT files.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't require the "Jeuno dungeons" either.

For lvl50s my butt, not with that exp penalty in place and mobs hitting like a truck.

Theres also the OP "By Light of Fire", I'm not sure on the details of that but it could be possible thats the opposite of the three? I dont believe anyone has activated that OP yet have they? So it could be that if either we win or lose theres still a new OP available.

I thought up a term for the /Brd bots...

    Little Nero's

...only, instead of fiddling while Rome burns, they're singing while Bastok does.

I could have sworn hitting a Fort didn't cause the mobs to link after one of the mini updates. When did this stop?

I've been searching the forums for awhile now and I cant seem to find any information about rank up vs allied notes. Does anyone know how many AN you need to get for each successive rank up? I apologize if I missed this information elsewhere. Thank you.

I believe it has nothing to do with AN.

I have 76770AN and I'm on my Holy knight Emblem. I've never been ranked down and never had to do more than 2 evaluation. I might campaign 3 days out of the 5 per week, getting 650-1380xp per battle on said days. And sometimes that will not be enough and I will have to wait another week. AN is gonna be about half the exp you get. If it rank ups were about AN, I shouldn't be off of the Star ranking lol.

A few months back there was a thread discussing Campaign rank up requirements. It was never quite nailed down whether the requirement is XP or AN or some combination of the two. My guess is XP. I believe the formula goes something like this:

    XP required for rank up = A*n + B

A and B are constants which depend on your current rank and n is the number of days since your last evaluation.

What this means is the longer you wait since your last evaluation, the more work you have to do to rank up.
