Yeah. Of the "line" troops, Quadav tend to be the most frequently in need of some buffwiping. It doesn't hurt that they have RDM's and the like, too- who love buffing up.

It hit me recently that the Imp aoe buffs hit the fort targets too. It can help then to dispel a fort of its protect/phalanx before you go afk to whack away at it.

Dispel is invaluable on everything, but I hardly ever see people casting it.

I dumped my entire MP pool the other day just dispelling the BRD Yagudo.

For the love of all that is good and pure, don't fight mobs like that on top of each other!

Dispel is about the only form of "defensive support" I'll do now. Sick of being the only one who uses gravity and such and get royally owned once grav reachs full resistance and the NM makes me their bitch. Obviously I'm directing that any RDM/ and /RDM. It looks fucking bad, seriously get a fucking clue. So it's a thing of me slapping gravity on it and kitting it around that area between the AH and the area near the fortification. Going up the slopes. It catchs up, WHEEEEEEEEEEEE "Kazan is weighed down for the 8th time" "Kazan is no longer weighed down" *casts bind* Oh but wait, cant! Unbound because he's being hit by people! Smack smack "Elathia was defeated by Kazan"

    Don't ask "where's the provokage?"

"YES NOW I WILL PROCEED TO SOLO WINDURST. MUAHAHAHAHA *kills weakened people. runs around some more kills people* "COME ON GUYZ IM NOT THAT BAD" I really really hate situations where I'm ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ALONE with 2 spells that has been borked by SE and I'm literally counting how many casts I have left til I'm dead.

I think I need to get out of windurst before I lose my mind.

Better yet, I need crimson legs =(.

Windurst is incapable of taking a zone outside of its own city now (Alexander server), I've considered switching nations due to this >_> its so frustrating all the work you put in and bam, no-one else willingly throws in their share.

    After the next update (love the Cobra gearz) I should change allegience to Sandy, atleast they can hold their own turf.. ;_;

They're faster than you even with crimson legs. Found that out when I tried kiting the NMs before. xD They either need to be gravitied, bound, or cast spells constantly for you to keep a lead on them.

And congrats to everyone on Bahamut who finally banded together to take Meriphataud back from the Yags. Hooray for no more city attacks!

    On to the next zone!

It's going to be a smooth week I think, with the yags morale down, and windy's prosperity climbing. Can't say the same for bastok though.

Yeah, the NM's that default to meleeing will pound you if you're being chased, they're up around flee speed.

Was REALLY hilarious one time watching one kill everyone on it's hate list just after it got aggroed by that one mistral axe tossing galka in rolanberry, I think it was Bo'Dho, he fucking scoots off across the hillside, then here comes mr purple galka, stumpy little legs truckin along after him.

Shadoweye is the best to kite, sometimes when he has Tp, he manages to stop himself from wasting it when he tries to WS, or he has a WS that is a JA or some shit.

I saw him stutter and take like 2 minutes to go from the stairs leading up from the mog house/metalworks area, and cross over behind the fortification/central tower thingie.

Didn't have it unfiltered, but he'd flap~flap > WS animation... pause... flap~flap > WS animation... pause...

Got the bright idea to kite him one day, dragged him around, thought I lost him, went and joined a group fighting a Gnat.

Literally two or three minutes later he apparently catches up to me, I'm behind where Zazarg perches outside of Campaign, and I last saw him near the GS guild... Shadoweye starts casting Firaga III. "EEP!"

Pretty much all the Beastmen Generals can be kited with runspeed as long as you know the terrain. They may run fast, but that can't make up for the retarded mob pathing AI. This is even easier with mobs that cast.

The one exception is Shadowfang. He may stop to cast occasionally, but Demon runspeed + General runspeed is out of control. Combined with the fact that he hits like a truck.... Yeah, fuck that guy.

    I LOVE SHADOWFANG!

He has comedic timing programmed into his AI, I fucking swear to god.

I've been standing there talking to my friend in between waves, I think we were at the top of the stairs southwest of the metalworks about to turn and head back towards the C.A. npc.

I look back behind him... nothing.

He stops and says something about the npcs killing all the mobs, and as he does so I turn back towards him... to see Shadowfang standing there mid cast right behind him.

    <Shadowfang> Knock Knock
    <Us> Whut? Who's there?
    <Shadowfang> Demon raep.

It was fucking uncanny, and so was the asskicking he delivered that day.

The other fun one to kite is Moo Ouzi the Swiftblade or whatever his name is. If you can get a bit of lead on him, you can run him around indefinitely.

He has such crazy auto-regain that he'll stop every couple of seconds to try and Feather Storm you, which you'll usually be out of range for and let you keep your distance.

Shadowfang I hate to kite without runspeed. Period. Won't do it. Once was enough. He's best allowed to do whatever demons want to do until gang-raped by an Allied unit/ PC horde, at which point I stand back, Dispel all his stolen buffs/Dread Spikes, and laugh hysterically.

Shadowhand is all fun and games till you get Sleepga II'ed mid kite. Then it's "staff goes where?", or if you're lucky, Thundaga III first.

Shadoweye I have kited for a half hour straight in Fort K-N. I DoTed 10%+ of it's health from Bio/Poison before anyone hit the stupid thing, and that was just to make sure it didn't go yellow and flap off. A five year old could kite Shadoweye. Without gravity or runspeed boosts, it's that easy.

Orcs are generally fun kites. Yagudo, mostly except for the SMN cause most of the time, the pets join in. Quadav....well, most of them are OK.

I guess its ok to be SCARED TO DEATH OF THE NMS, THAT PEOPLE WOULD WATCH SOMEONE DIE. (nevermind that some people are brave enough kite them around. Not too hard, til they are raged). Out of that ordeal I've learned kiting mobs around those little mounds with the spike things on top works(merip mountains[S].

But boycotting support til Im done being pissed at "I'll save my own ass, you can dielol" attitude.

what happens if the beastmen gain 100% influence bar in a nation with that nation having 0% influence? Currently on diabolos Southern San d'Oria's beastmen influence bar is 80% with San d'Orian influence like at 40%

    The short answer is nothing.

The long answer is it'll be harder to keep the area when the retally comes.

The Tag NPC gets moved to an area that is out of prime enemy spawn/rape/pillage zone, some penalty eh?

You can run them around the fort in Meri too if you get the radius right. I remember running Dee Xalmo around during Hundred Fists after he annihilated my Fenrir and lived to tell about it.

But what made it worth messing with him was seeing him use Doom on Fenrir before that and missing. Silly Yagudo.

I just want to ask, since it's not on the wiki at all: Does Dispel give any points at all?

I don't think it does, but it's not going to stop me from casting it since I like to see my other spells land after dispelling Shell .

Any successful enfeebles give points, Dispel is part of the enfeebling list so its all good.

    Providing it doesnt get resisted~

Some thoughts on the red bars by nation symbols. I believe it might correspond to the rate at which your friendly NPCs get sent to that area. This week we controlled only Markets, and we had preemptive strikes, but we kept having so many bastok battles that we weren't taking over any regions, and I don't think the NPCs were focused on one area. When checked midweek, none of the bars were full except Markets. Then today just before tally I looked, and we had started to make a dent into Pashhow (like 1/5 of the bar) and both Pashhow and CNest bars were full in addition to markets, and the other zones were missing a sliver or more from their bars. So my speculation is that near the end of the week they started sending troops into Passhow and CNest more, that's why we started gaining influence and that's why the bar filled up completely. That would also explain why city areas bars always fill up even if there is no battle going on there, if they treat NPCs going back to the city to await orders the same as going to a zone to fight.

Also, regarding the "greivous wounds" message, this week we got it for Elivira. This is who I think was the most-chosen NPC as well last week due to people focusing on Preemptive Strikes after that interview (I know I told all my Bastokan friends to vote for her), so maybe if your most popular leader dies it has some negative consequences, and that's why you get a special message? Likewise you get some benefit for killing the Beastmen's most popular leader. Just a thought.
