I never heard of that; I guess people knew though.

I don't even care about campaign anymore. I think I'm gonna lose like 2 metals when I do it again ;p. Well 1. Im counting the process of trying to obtain the newest one and that got on my nerves + union and its 5000000000000000000000000 people.
So I've skimmed through this thread and looked around elsewhere and can't seem to find a solid answer anywhere now.
Is there an xp cap you reach still, and is it better to keep tag the whole time or get assessment and retag? I ask because I can manage 2400xp or so on a short 20 min or so battle, and then an hour+ long one where I know I did really well and closed a ton of chains and got killing blows only netted like 3100xp.
Me & a friend experimented with it a bit and it looks like you are better off just keeping your tags the whole time, but it wasn't exactly very scientific. We just compared xp after he reset it a few times and I kept mine the whole battle. He ended up getting about 800xp less, when he usually gets about 200 more than me at same max rank. I'm guessing they changed it to just give diminishing returns the longer a battle goes, or there's a set amount of xp a battle can give, and that amount is divided among all present on a system of who did the most?
I've been searching and searching all over wiki and here for an answer to this question with no luck. I've tried asking friends on my friends list too.
What is required for Campaign Battle to start in the Northlands? On ffxiclopedia, it says a nation needs to control each of it's five surrounding areas. When I open the Campaign map, it shows San d'Oria controlling East Ronfaure, Jugner Forest, Batallia Downs, The Eldieme Necropolis, and Vunkerl Inlet. However, the bar in a few areas shows the Beastmen more dominant than San d'Oria. Does San d'Oria not only need to have control of each of those areas, but also dominant in order for Campaign Battle to start within the Northlands? Campaign Battle hasn't started in Beaucedine Glacier or Xarcabard at all. Is control of La Vaule also necessary in order for Campaign Battle to start in the Northlands?
I figured I'd try posting it here rather than the RQT since this thread IS the Campaign thread.
It's been awhile since it has happened but I believe a nation actually has to have control of all 7 of it's places. Then to get access to the throne room BC you need to control all the northlands. Which is part of why it's so hard since it takes at least 2 weeks and tends not to last since the effort to win the northlands loses you your hometown usually. Also I think you can only do battles in the 7th (this case la vaule) if you control the other 6 possibly adding another week. The dominant thing only shows who would gain control if tally happened right then.
Wow, so you're telling me that you would need to not only control your home nation and the surrounding five areas (in San d'Oria's case, East Ronfaure, Jugner Forest, Batallia Downs, The Eldieme Necropolis, and Vunkerl Inlet), but also La Vaule? And that's just for Campaign to take place within the Northlands?
1-holy necro
2-if you kill the campaign mobs outside of campaign, it will affect the standings, thats how people used to unlock throne room BC.
Did you not read his post?
I can't remember ever seeing (or seeing reports of) the specific situation of player efforts alone taking over the Northlands when none of the nations had enough areas to send troops to attack the Northlands. On my server,at least, people only bothered if there was at least one nation able to send troops.
As far as I can remember, a nation only has to control the outside areas (so Sandy doesn't need Eldieme or La Vaule) to send troops to attack the Northlands.
Because people don't ask just to make sure they understood what was said correctly. And no, what I said was not what Nynja said, only in question form. Learn to read. You're obviously a fan of mine for putting what I trollingly PM'd to your bitch Diomer in your signature, then stalking me all over the forums in failed attempts to troll me. You just look stupid. But please, do try harder. Maybe if you try hard enough, you'll be good at more than one thing (screwing over others to fund a relic, because you couldn't do it like everyone else did back in the day).
lol is all that needs to be said about that post
