Timer on haste samba is 1 minute, the exact recast of the samba menu, and drain samba 2 is 1:30 recast.

Violent Flourish consumes 1 Finishing Move and will always deal little damage (15-30), the stun effect it has appears to be more accurate than our gravity Flourish, I'd say it has an 85% accuracy, i used 1 and cast a whole Ichi before it wore off.

..? That would be rather useless. No, it replenishes HP, it just doesn't hurt the monster like normal Drain does.

Oooh... So it's not like a melee hit for 12 and a drain for 6 isn't 18dmg. It's taking a % of the dmg you already delt and giving you the HP back. Gotcha

Wrong. It needs to have MP. Fortunately this one actually does the drain the mob/players MP. Guess SE thought this one wouldn't be too broken.

I wouldn't really call it potentially broken since the only jobs that could get any use out of it are Blue Mage, Paladin, and Dark Knight... Even so the aspir effect isn't quite as strong.

(Why did SE make drain effects blue and aspir effects red? Seems somewhat backwards)


edit: to be specific, on 33 Samurai in Garlaige, hitting beetles for 30 ~ 80crit I was aspiring 1-7mp.

That doesn't make any sense. I was under the impression that each of the categories had a recast timer, and that recast was always the same (60 seconds for Samabs and 6 seconds for Waltzes, for example). Why would Drain Samba II move it up to a 90 second recast? Unless you meant it lasts 90 seconds.

The duration, then. Recast and Duration are very different things.

Hmm really.. Damn, I was looking forward to my 6 second recast Erase.

That shit is sooo lame man. When I cast Erase I have to wait a whole 15 seconds before I can cast a Cure or Curaga. It's stupid.. This is the one section of the JA list where I feel they should have given each ability it's on recast timer.

I had a weird result with Curing Waltz, depending on who my target was, the amount healed would change. Like it'd be 69 on my self, and 72 on the tank.

After a Divine Waltz heal after a bomb toss I've begun to think that the max hp of the person being healed as some effect. Bomb toss went off and the humes and mithra got healed for 73/74 and the galka pld was 78 and he had a fair chunk of max hp more than the rest, others were relatively close.

This sounds like a glitch to me if it's true (I can't tell the difference). Only reason I say this is look at the description of the ability. "Inflicts the next target you strike with Drain Daze, allowing all those engaged in battle with it to drain it's HP." If it was something where you got hp back without the mob losing any I doubt they would have termed it as draining it's hp. Added to the fact that the mob needs mp to aspir, either a. this was a very last minute change on SE's part. or B. it's another one of the update glitches and hopefully will get fixed. To me from what I see dancer is kind of the opposite of bard. Abilities like quick step seem to be equivilant to a bard'ss madrigal. Instead of increasing a party's acc, it lowers the mobs eva. Drain dance seems to be the equivilant to a bard's minuet. Rather than buffing the party's direct hits, then drain would be increasing their damage by the hp they drain.


I hope that if this is a glitch SE fixes it soon, because that ability doesn't seem to be complete if this is the case.
