supposedly it only works with the maw in the zone where you got spit out inOriginally Posted by Silka
Yeah, that's what I did. And a new maw not letting me in either.Originally Posted by Silka
Edit: Sonomaa said to go back in to the one that SPIT me out, since it's different than the one I went in to.. trying that.
Edit again: Yay it worked. Damn Garlaige!!!
Does DNC require any sort of scroll to learn their dances? Or just the appropriate level?
level, 5 = drain samba1
Did you have to go back through garlaige in the past to enter the maw again?Originally Posted by Mikayla
Nice, does it own hard?Originally Posted by Tarumara
2-5 hp drains, they go off a lot, 0 when hp is full.
Taru do a 360 when they dance :3
How does dance targetting work? Is it self or do you use it on the enemy?Originally Posted by blister1
Thats not bad, wonder what effects it: lvl, skill, weather..Originally Posted by blister1
If you hit 0s, you dont get th drain effect to activate~
target yourself.Originally Posted by Kiarax
and i think others also
That is pretty horrible, although not for low levels. I just hope it gets stronger later.Originally Posted by Neosutra
Ok, so, When you use the effect of Samba, the mob you hit with the samba effect up will give a "daze" effect(drain daze for drain samba).
when drain daze if on the mob, all party members gain the effect to drain HP when hitting the mob.
Drain Daze (presumably all dazes) lasts 10 seconds, refreshed each hit, so if you wiff a few, it wears off.
Drain Samba lasts 2 minutes, Trance lasts 1 minute. Added to wiki.

Drain Samba is learned automatically. I think most dances might be learned this way... would be nice.
It lasts 2 minutes. It's an effect on you only. When you hit the mob it will infect the mob with Drain Daze. So long as you keep hitting the mob for 1 damage or more it will keep the effect on it.
Interesting job so far. Gah was in the middle of typing this before someone else posted it![]()
Drain Samba appears to cost 10 TP to use.
Also, I see many DNC/MNK on my server - what is their H2H rank? It doesn't really surprise me, since dagger WSs suck balls until Dancing Edge except for stacking with SATA (Viper Bite). I suppose that like thief, using H2H at low levels with /mnk for Martial Arts works out pretty well. It will suck using a D or E rank skill (sword/h2h, whatever) at levels 40-60 though...ugh, the accuracy...
Dancer on my server said Sword and H2H are skill 28 at level 10, Dagger is 31. Looks like D-rank Sword and H2H, B-rank Dagger. Sorry if this is posted elsewhere. That means Dancing Edge, if they get it, is at level 62 (dagger skill 202). At level 61, H2H skill would be 184, which is 23 points below an A+ weapon at that level.
Maybe they switch to daggers way earlier just for TP build since most of the TP is going towards dances, and Dancers don't WS much? Hard to say - seems likely.
H2H and Swords tend to be better than daggers at DOT at low levels. I remember using a pair when I leveled it in dunes (I think I used more swords when I finally got DW). Since you don't get access to dual weild until 20, /MNK will be popular until around then.
