    Current theory is, craft skill <60. So using the knife with cooking will yield +3 total with the advanced imagery, whereas at level 60+ advanced imagery alone will yield +3 skill. I wish crafters the best of luck in testing a latent +1 skill effect ;;

Blink of Peril ignores shadows. It's slightly worse than Throat Stab, in that it reduces you to <10HP no matter how much HP you had prior to its strike.

For deathga fun, combine Blink of Peril with Charged Whiskers. Repeat until double-weakened.
You can turn around and avoid Blink of Peril.

I was waiting on Campaign to hit in Karugo and telling people who show up.

    Best auto-trans I could manage to get the point across was <Weapon Skill> Blink of Peril <Danger> HP > 10, <Run Away!>.

Most people still just fight it, get killed, and then go "Oh, duh, run from Blink of Peril."
I took 3 to the face fighting it and lived ^^

In regards to following Goblin Diggers.... thank fucking god for Windower. The Goblin I am following in Bubu digs once per choco ride. So far only sacks of things that fall off or are cut off from people have been found.

...Unless he digs while you're getting another chocobo! ><

I brought my alt character for that very reason. 3 hours and 5 digs later, still no fish bones. I freaking hate this quest.

A quick guide for the quest "Message on the Wind" since I haven't seen anything on it yet.

    - Go to the Metalworks in the present and talk to Romualdo at K-9 in the cannonry.
    - Head to Batallia Downs [S] and go to I-7 to talk to Romualdo again.
    - Talk to Childerich at E-12 in Grauberg [S].
    - Check the ??? at J-9 just east of the Grauberg outpost.
    - Go back to Childerich.
    - Go back to Romualdo in Batallia to finish the quest and receive Smart Grenade.

After this speak to Romualdo in the Metalworks and then Childerich again. Choose "Message on the Wind" when Childerich asks you and you'll receive the title "Windtalker".

Did you talk to him in the present first? You have to do that before you can get the quest from him in Batallia.

Maybe you need to talk to him in the past first then?

It's possible you need to finish Faded Promises first... but it seems unlikely.

mind being more specific as to which type of quadav? killed at least 20 and nothing still
Might have been a Young? Don't remember, I was killing the Copper/Onyx/Amethyst/Young that spawned not far from the fort where Campaign takes place in Grauberg.

Also- ate Aileen's Delight when I went into Salvage tonight, and ss'd my stats before and after I ate it, so I'll have some general stats after I wake up in the morning (need to go pass out now).
Spent 2hr last night in that area with no drop. Spent 15m just now and got mitts off a Copper quad.

just started doing the San d'Orian quests yesterday, and does anyone else notice a striking resemblance between the SOBs and the Young Griffons? Feels like I'm doing SOB quests all over again, only with slightly better rewards.

The Star Onions are way too fucking awesome to be associated with a gang of spoiled elvaan brats. Anyone else notice that Excenmille is basically Shinji Ikari?

The SOB quests you'd been doing since you started playing eventually influencing other quests and tying in with the conclusion of the Windurst story was one of the coolest things SE ever did with a storyline.

Actually, I learned volumes just handing out those little "luck charms" just from the reactions. The SOB's are the Good Guy Gang, the Gryphons are...well...a mite more civilized and subtle. You'd expect that from a bunch of Elvaan nobles...but I do think we'll get a heckuva tour of San d'Oria out of them.
(And I wear that Promise Badge with pride. )

hey I'm not dissing on the SOBs, I'm dissing on SE's bad attempt at repeating it. At least the SOBs were cute, these kids are just snobbish rich brats.

Maybe a quest next update is to foil their plan of saving San d'Oria and get some in trouble? :D

If they send me back to that miserable miser in Windurst, I'm mounting a dev's head on my wall for New Year's.

The cutscene when you give the Dark Mana Orb back to the SOB after beating the final Windurst mission and defeating Fenrir again is one of the best in the game.

I expect those 'good luck charms' to be some sort of... I don't know, flash bomb that will go off when they want it to. I doubt trust the little bastards to do something nice.
