Wow thanks, it seriously wasn't targetable unless you were exactly out in front of it -_- some of us had ran right above it several times...
Nobody has been able to get to mission 3?
From what I gathered from the CSs it seems you either need to unlock all the maws or you need to find someone, past or present, who can let you know where you are. You aren't allowed into Jeuno, and you're pretty much completely lost. Anyone have any ideas?
Got all 9/9 maws and nothing happened after zoning back through the last one.
JP midnight perhaps?
The only clue I can find in the DATs is this -
There's an identical CS in Sauro/Rolan/Batallia (present day) with Cait Sith. Similar to the first mission CS, it's repeated in all 3 zones, so I'd assume that it's triggered when you zone in through one of the Maws.
Obviously not based on unlocking all maws since others have tried that.
JP midnight seems to be a safe bet.
I got a rather odd cutscene the first time I zoned into Windurst, involving chibi Ajido-Marujido dropping a malevolent black feather after talking about the Maws...
Did anyone else get this CS or a cutscene like it? I haven't seen mention of it and I don't think it flagged a quest, and I'm not sure what if anything to do in the present time to flag something. Tried zoning through a Maw while in posession of the black feather and no dice. Still don't have 9/9 maws though and I still haven't even gotten to Bastok or signed up with one of the armies, I think I have to call it a night soon also >.> It just seemed like the cutscene was a fairly obvious 'Oh hey, this is mission storyline and relevent' so I half expected it to flag a mission or -something-.
It's a quest that ties in with the main story
Well isn't that awesome... Seems you can't just beat these missions in the first day like you could on TAU.
So I guess we can all confirm that getting a reccomendation and doing all that to unlock campaign doesn't finish the mission, "Back to the Beginnings?"
Wow and for a second I thought these missions were going to be weak.
So has anyone actually figured out how to start and finish the mission, "back to the beginnings?"

I nearly died by the chief orc guy while getting #3.... -.- Apparently NPCs don't have any sort of enmity on them, or very very little... Fun!
Maybe after completing 9/9 Maws return to your original maw after JST midnight? Thats all I can think of... I did 9/9 Maws yesterday, I'm waiting for my friends to get on before I go and test this theory, if anyone can confirm/deny this it'd be awsome =)...
after waterfall cs in vunkerl inlet bottom left corner of j-6 is the goblin hes behind a large gate and asks for a gnole clawOriginally Posted by cassiraa
I got told to go to Eldieme but I followed my friend who was told to go to CN and the taru in CN gave me Windy path instead of the Bastok one I would've gotten from Eldieme. Guess you can choose which path after all, just talk to the npc in the correct zone.
i'm from bastok, i have all 3 blue, red, and green key items i then chose to sign up with sandy with the rest of my group... you can pick any one you want.. but only be signed up with 1 at a time.
So anyone who has signed up for service in any of the cities can confirm that it doesnt make the mission "back the beginnings" completed?
So the exodus for searching how to do that mission continues.
Signing up for a nation does -NOT- complete mission #2. It seems to just be the prompt to get you to start Campaign.
That is frickin awesome... I was so hoping it wouldn't turn out weak like TAU and you could complete it in one day.
Heck no one can even figure out how to start the second mission. That = good.
How to continue missions:
Once you have finished your nation's storyline/quests, go back to present day.
Then go to one of the Jeuno based maws, and go back to the past through one of them.
CS time.
Are you finished when you can do Ops, or are there quests beyond that? I'm San d'Orian if you can give more detailed instructions.Originally Posted by Nightsintdreams
No, you can OP once you join the Campaign forces.Originally Posted by Sarial
You are finished when the NPCs make it -very- clear that you should keep an eye out in case if you are needed again (think ToAU).
There is no JP midnight requirement by the way.
