Windowed/game lag? edit: USB Devices FIX INSIDE

Unplugged Wired Saitek keyboard and no lag at all. So wireless or wired does not matter.

The problem is actually whether or not your keyboard is USB. It would appear that people with PS/2 keyboards (myself included) don't experience any sort of lag. Go pick up a USB->PS/2 converter from RadioShack or something, can't be more than like $5.

Humm, I don't suppose you have a rough idea how/why? I am completely fascinated by this, but I'm completely clueless as to how they managed it.

some people are not having the mouse issues, some find it with either, most everyone seems to report at least the keyboard? I plugged in a few other things... PSP and connected, flash drive, mp3 player, headset.. they were all fine.

Which I know is kinda 'duh' but you know, before someone asks. ;P

Just for consistency sake, unplugging my Creative Fatal1ty Keyboard solved my FPS woes. Every version of the game was lagging, in every mode, until I unplugged it.

Tried plugging my G5 mouse back in, FPS dropped... I switched it with some crappy 2 button Logitech usb mouse and everything is perfect. KB is also Logitech and usb, no problems with it...

Tried unplugging keyboard, and it runs just great, in fact, faster than normal I think... I didn't test for long, but I had less lag on the intro screen than normal. Can't get a USB to PS2 adapter though because I play on a laptop, hoping SE fixes this soon. ><

I'm really curious how they managed to mess this up, though... SE always sems to manage to somehow break completely unrelated things when changing stuff.

Just as an added note, switching my keyboard to a PS/2 connection using an adapter fixed the issue.
