Windowed/game lag? edit: USB Devices FIX INSIDE

Game is laggy as hell on Full Screen mode/Windowed mode, Az.Windower-Full screen and Az.Windower-Windowed.

7 fps in my MH, were before i was at 29.


My graphic card sucks, nVidia 8500, but rest of PC is ok:
Core 2 Duo 6600, 2 GB Ram

I have dual core, and FFXI windower is running fine, haven't tried the other one.

I'm not having any problem at all with SE Windower. Rather the opposit, feels like the game is running smoother now than it did before. >.> No lag issues or anything.

When i start the game up, i lose all control of my comp @ the accept/decline screen, cant control with keyboard and my mouse cursor disappears. The only way out is alt tab del and just close FF, is anyone else having a problem like this?

btw, tried on all 3 modes, same effect.

maybe we need specific drivers, though I'm certain I'm still using DX9 drivers and certain my card supports DX9. Using Nforce 77.77 myself on XP (which is one of the best for the card I have).

My FFXI won't even open all the way. I can get through POL and even to character selection, and the screen where it talks to the lobby server...

but when I get to the screen after ***Downloading Data*** where your chat bar pops up and the screen is black, right before /smes, it pops up an error box and closes.

This happens with windowers 3.3, 3.24, 3.25, 3.26, WindowerLite, SE Windowed mode and regular fullscreen FFXI with no windowed mode or windowers. I am running (sadly) on Windows Vista Home Premium (because thats what came with my Dell laptop.)

Any suggestions? I've rebooted, filechecked, disabled plugins... etc

Lagging out like mad in any form of the game (below 5 FPS including with drawdistance set to 0 just for kicks), running GeForce Go 7900 GTX and Dual Core 2.16GHz

Average 6.5 FPS windiowed, FF windower barely broke 2FPS and no windower running normal (but fuck that -.-). GG SE!

Really bad frame-rate and I have randomly checked and unchecked options on my graphics card to no avail.

Ironically the FFXI Benchmark program runs butter smooth.

The only .DATs I changed were Brandson's but those went back to normal after every maint that changed icons I thought.

How many Beta test computer they have to check their shit? Half of the people on pc suffer from huge slow down...cant believe this missed that.
