if thats it I'll be so lolOriginally Posted by Aaros
let us know how it goes.
Brandson's UI is overwritten every verup, his files aren't there anymore (perhaps chat log skins are).
I had some dat changes before, but i forced update with a CheckFile, so all my changes are gone, including moded maps and stuff. So that shouldn't be an issue.
I have no brandons interface.
I never installed the UI interface.
No problems and I have a lot of DATs modded, Brandon's UI got reset to standard one for me, but window backgroundOriginally Posted by Verb
Thats exactly whats happening me, and I have no clue what to do...Originally Posted by Sera

ill change it back now, and see how it goes
I've never recalled a version of Brandson's stuff that has worked post-verup. It'll just be broken.Originally Posted by Sera
0 dat chances - 0 extras >:3 Just ussed windower for my huge macro's 3fps ~ Dual Core 3.2 GHZ, 2 GigoRam, 7200RPM Main drive, Only thing thats outa date is my 128MB Radeon 9800Pro
THere should be an option in Windows Task Manager where you can force a process to run using a single core... I never had a dual-core system, but I recall reading something like that, might be worth googling for it.
I initially tried SE's Windowed Mode assuming Windower was broken. Bad Gamma, slow to load, felt kinda glitchy tabbing through different windows. Pretty much decided then no playing for me until Windower was running again.
After I saw reports that it -was- working, I went and // all autoloading plugins, went to FFXI config and switched back out of Windowed mode, and the game loaded up fine. I also have Brandson's UI. I don't know about the status icons, but most of it's broken. Wasn't and never really pay attention to FPS, but I ran around Whitegate, Moghouse, Bastok, etc. using Windower (no plugins) without any noticeable difference compared to pre-update. Also I have a lot of stuffed .dat modded or switched around, and everything appeared to be working fine. No game crashing or anything.
If it makes any difference: Windows XP, Core 2 Duo, and Nvidia GeForce 8600.
changed font/UI back to original pack, still not working.
ok so now we know it's not the dats. SE needs to fix this issue. Prolly do an emergency maint sometime tomorrow. lolOriginally Posted by ClassicRed
i dont have dual core either. can't be the dual core.
Confirmed:
- Not dual core.
- Not Brandson/dat mods.
- Not reg edits.
- Not ATI/Nvidia.
Hopefully the list will continue to grow so we can isolate the issue (if WE can).
This is like Saw 2 where we have to find why we were all brought here, by some common bond.
We all have different PCs and different .Dat changes, but something holds us together.
Time is running out.
Wanna play a game?
tbh i think its vista in my case, it crashes even when i am in old school fullscreen "alt tab because this party sucks" mode... and now i have no UI mods at all... to the other person with my problem, are you using vista? if so which one?
Yes, FFXI.Originally Posted by Matrix

Neither of the 3 modes work, tried going back to PS2 graphics and my FPS didn't even move, stuck @ 5.6~ish.
Too lazy to type out what I'm playing on, so just copy-pasted from IRC:
os: Windows XP Professional, SP2 :: cpu: Intel Core2 6400 2.13GHz (at 2800 MHz) :: mem: 582/2047 MB (28%) :: gfx: nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS (1680x1050x32bit 60Hz)
No DAT's swapped or anything like that.
i hear ya ; ;Originally Posted by Lasareth
