Windower 3.3 still works

ii heard people are getting 3 fps even with windower 3.3

It's stupid to mention that people get 3 fps with windower when they also get 3 fps without it (which is implied by "even with").

Rule #1 for debugging: Turn of everything that might have any (positive or negative) effect on the unit under test.

Not all of them, just recast. Distance, LL, TP all work.

Never use them straight after an update like this, good chance they are broken.

False, only a few are subjectable to breaks.

majority of our plugins will not break after an update. The only reason Recast broke is because they changed things majorly in memory for the new jobs and such.

3.3 works fine in my setup (without recast) & also does not work with Diablo II...... was trying to play it while I waited for my 10+ hour download. Basically won't run in conjunction with most other apps that have an active overlay. Crashed my DVD movie also, but not media of the hard drive.... so, meh.

One thing I did notice though was my PC system resources are now being used at an incredibly higher rate, such as FFXI windowed + couple of other programs (I.E. 7, media player, virus, etc.) used to run me about ~65% utilization. Now it's 95%+ & if I start up a couple more things, FPS goes in the dirt no matter where I am. Prior to update, the only thing that would run me up past 95% usage was 2box, now that just pegs it at 100% till the 2nd window crashes...

Gotta love software bloat when a new top end PC can't run 2 instances of a 5 year old game. 2.93Ghz Core 2 XE, 4GB mem, RAID 0, 8800 Ultra, blah blah...

2boxing appears to be borked. If I have any FFXI window focused, the other goes to .9fps(i.e. freezes and d/cs after a minute or so). I'm very unhappy

Yeah, I have absolutely no issues with windower, but cannot two box... screen out of focus basically freezes. I use alt-tab so usually tab to some selection.. so then I'll hear the little selecting a target "ding" repeatedly until I go back to that window; also made foobar etc, skip. Did some quick tests with Repose and Sleep II (neither overwrite each other) and it was a freakin' pain in the ass... *especially* when the characters had the same field of view.

I'm having 0 issues 2boxing. On windows XP with usb logitech keyboard/mouse/gamepad getting 30fps on both. I commented out ll, silence and recast. Though I haven't tried loading silence, i loaded ll after start and no issues, i'd assume cuz no issues with silence being reported that it would work also, i just haven't bothered turning it on.

I'm having no lag whatsoever. I tried Windower 3.3, FFXIWindower and normal FFXI w/out Windower, it all works fine. :D

I am having no problems hexa-boxing with one PC atm
using the old windower without all the plugins

I haven't done any tests, not experiencing any lag either
my PC isn't exactly the greatest either but guess I should be thankful Im not experiencing issues like everyone else

Last night my 2boxing was fine, but today I'm having the same issue Ashira is having.

I couldn't do duobox at all since the patch. I've been reading the forums continuously to try and see if anyone could get it working. I've been watching my task manager for a while now and have noticed this is what happens when it freezes...

As you can see both pols drop down to 0% and the system jumps to 99%...

I have no issues with windower, either. Although I hope the windower devs have found some other means to collaborate amongst themselves since their server has been down.
