sad part about this is that as terribly as it's written, it's utterly true about him and some of his "partners in crime"

(although some parts are not accurate, he never tried to be "legit", he had more than enough opportunities to get anything and everything he wanted without being a shit, he just wanted it *NOW*)

Yea I manipulated a few parts to fit some of the theories and stuff like that. Mostly for this I had a prompt to follow that told me how each paragraph should basically look and such. Also changed around a few things based on what was critiqued

for the most part I'd just say it's way too like... text book-ey

the whole thing just seems like some old professor standing at a podium reading out of his book in straight monotone and just makes it all "ugh"

    Re: Sylphs Emo-Essay

Throughout life a person probably encounters many deviant people. However how close the person is to you varies from one individual to another. This person was once I would say my best friend I knew until he chose me and a few others as his targets. Before I could realize it was too late thankfully the damage done was not too severe. He is currently about the age of nineteen and is a Hispanic-American. He is a pretty notorious thief known to people all over the world from anywhere to Asia to Europe and this is contributed to the fact that he is a thief that steals from people over the internet.

This person is clearly deviant based on the views of deviance. In the legal statute view what he is doing is against the law because he is stealing from people who are way too trustworthy of people over the internet. What he does he knows is wrong and he once said “I know what I do is wrong but business is business” which satisfies the self view portion of the views of deviance. Statistically it is against the norm because the majority of people normally do not steal thus putting him in a minority deviance. Finally the absolute and immoral view follow this person’s actions completely because evil is in the nature of the act.

This individual is deviant as a whole because it does not matter how close an individual is to him if he sees a point in benefiting then he will take advantage of it. He takes anything he can get his hands on then lies and blames someone else or just cuts off all ties to the person. Since everything is done over the internet there are very limited things that can be done to prevent and apprehend him. The internet has many scapegoats limiting the number of ways to catch someone because of its vast anonymity.

The labeling theory shows that people act the way they do because they are labeled with that stereotype. In his case this may be why the reason he is as malicious as he is now. The reason I say this is because the differential association ties into this, rather it is the starting point. He used to hang out with a couple of guys, they were up to no good,
started makin' trouble in my neighborhood.
I got in one little fight and mom got scared. She said,
"you're movin with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air!"

I begged and pleaded with her the other day,
but she packed my suitcase and sent me on my way.
She gave me a kiss and gave me my ticket,
I put on my walkman and said "I might as well kick it!"

First class, yo, this is bad, drinkin' orange juice out of a champagne glass...
Is this what the people of Bel-Air are livin' like?
    Hmmm, this might be alright!

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
the license plate said FRESH and it had dice in the mirror.
If anything I could say this cab was rare, but I thought
"Nah forget it... Yo, homes, to Bel-Air!"

I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cab
    "Yo, homes, smell ya later!"
I looked at my kingdom I was finally there
to sit on the throne as the Prince of Bel-Air."

This is painful to read. Poorly constructed sentences, repetitive use of the word deviant and racial stereotyping.

It reminds me of a book report I tried to write in the sixth grade or so, that my mom made me rewrite about 12 times.
