Well, either way, it's possible it will be. Wouldn't the peninsula still be connected? Doesn't necessarily mean we'll have to go to a Maw in Lufaise or anything-- Maybe in a new zone near it.
The peninsula isn't connected on the map, there's nothing in the DATs to support it (There is for the 3 beastmen strongholds, beaucedine and xarcabard), and the closest area to it is Grauberg, which is near the eastern coast of Quon.Originally Posted by EternityEnd
Though I'm wondering how we can have area mob lists when absolutely no one has the expansion yet, it seems that all of the areas for this expansion are going to be ready from the get go....However, I find it odd how areas that don't exist in the present have the shadowreign mark [S] while the areas that seem to be Beastman Strongholds don't. That kinda strongly suggests that some areas are planned to be added to the present, yet aren't in the area lists. If that's true, that means the reverse could be true, present areas being added to the past.
That's all heavy speculation of course, but why would they differentiate one area and not another? It's possible they made it that way to prepare for a future expansion, but since when does SE work that far ahead? Couple that with the fact that no one has the expansion to mine it yet and that it's not totally unheard of for SE to add an entire area through an update (though not very many at once), and some of this seems a little more plausible.
That said, going to Tavnazia in the past seems horribly unlikely. They'd have to add many more areas to bridge that gap between grauberg and the old city. One, two, maybe even three zones past valkurm would be necessary.
I'm pretty confused as to how I have it as well, but if you play PC, boot up Pebble's POLUtil, and open up NPC Renamer. There's the option to rename the NPCs in the new zones, and of course the list.
Hmmm, possible new method to get to Roc?
1. Find the Maw in Meri
2. Go to the past and zone to Sauro Past
3. Use the Maw to get back to the present
4. ???
5. Profit!
If that works, getting the Garliage coffer will only be 1/2 as gay!
Can you post screenshots of what they look like and where they are and anything new cool about the expansion?
I'm at work and won't be on the game for a few days and the PC expansion is delayed so i'm sooo curious
Thanks!
To that point in the present, Tavnazia is an archipelago not a peninsula. It's a peninsula in the past and therefore is in fact connected to the mainland. The definition of a peninsula is a body of land surrounded on three sides by water. The map that you're looking at is one of the present, not the past. The peninsula isn't connected on the map
There might be something in the DATs later.Code:there's nothing in the DATs to support it![]()
The Tavnazian betrayal by San D'oria and subsequent beastman invasion was a major plot point in the Crystal War story line. I'd be disappointed in Squeenix if they didn't expound upon it some.

How do you cross the main river in Jugner Forest to get to the Maw?
you don't, you have to go all the way aroundOriginally Posted by Serif
however, coming from the Maw, you can get up on one of the bowshooter's posts and hop over the wall.
Jugner? I tried this last night, and couldnt seem to get it. More specs please?
how do you get to the sauro. champ. one? i can see it, but the path is blocked by those power lines or cliffs.
edit: answer is to go through garliage, go NE on top floor, and still NE when your map changes, you'll eventually zone out to where the maw is reachable.
Edit: I'm a twit. No more shopping on Black Friday! It's bad for my health!
Can we get a sticky on this?
I can't find the marshlands one anywhere in the past.
