    Re: Working Parser?

Breemer, that's what it looks like for me to when I open up a saved parse. Then I pull down the drop box and click "summary" and then there's a pause while it loads the data, then it gets displayed.

Seems this doesn't work for other's as well, not sure what's going on.

I'm also able to use the current 2.1.2.62 version to view all my parses from previous versions as well.

Complete noob to this but when I tried to start a parse it for DirectParse it asked did i want to connect to a DNS or something. Is that safe and or normal? -_-

I'm not an expert but i'd like to ask if you downloaded from the proper place because "DNS" sounds network related to me and a parser shouldn't even be TOUCHING a network.

    Re: Working Parser?

DNS is a Domain Name Service. It's used to reslove things like www.google.com to and IP address 64.233.187.99, etc. Whenever you type in a URL into your web browser, if your computer doesn't know what your talking about, it will try and resolve the name by contacting a DNS server and looking up the IP address. Once your PC has the IP address of the remote source (servers, etc.) it can then begin to send IP traffic. Why a Parser is trying to reslove anything to send data is beyond me, (unless it's to steal your stuff).

I downloaded it from the link in Zhais's sig which took me to sourceforge or whatever which I thought was the official place ever since the DVS project stopped. I don't know, it only happened once after I downloaded and started the first parse and never happened again.

is there any chance directparse will implement some things on the defensive page of kparser. kparser just crashes on my machine so the only thing I have available is directparse, so I was wondering if anything new is going to be added.

There's a very good chance I'm retarded, but am I missing something on DirectParse that lets you see battle by battle information? I remember FFXIP letting me do that and I was wondering

    A) If you can do that on DP

    B) If not, where I can get a working version of FFXIP

That /is/ after a second or so while the data loads up, details shows nothing and summary shows that. I opened a .dvsd in notepad and all the stuff is there. I'm honestly not that fussed since it's very rare I need it, but if I forget to export a parse I am unable to view it again.

    Re: Working Parser?

I can't get either KParser or Direct Parser to work with Timestamp turned on. Direct Parser recognizes every new time as a new name and KParser doesn't seem to recognize anything at all except chat. The rest goes into unparsed data.

I run Windower 3.3 with the latest timestamp plugin (can't use 3.4 cause it fucks up G15 profiler) on EU FFXI. If it matters any, the input language of my PC is set to swedish, as well as set to work with the IME plugin. (iow yen signs instead of \ )

Is there a way to get it to work?

    Re: Working Parser?

I need to get back to working on fixes for KParser at some point, but in the meantime here's the new memloc address (should work for both KParser and DirectParse): 0x575968

DAKPluto Edit: fixed memloc to correct value.

    Re: Working Parser?

For direct parse open up your folder, locate DVSConf.txt and change the memloc to 0x575968
