Apparently this breaks the parser, as when loaded nothing is ever displayed (assumedly because nothing is being parsed). I read through the bug reports on the project page and saw a solved issue with timestamp, but it wasn't the same cause.

Just thought I'd share. Unloading timestamp when I want to parse something isn't a big deal, just took me a while to figure out what was causing the issue.
Not sure if this was overlooked or not but it's still present in the most recent version.

Adjustments have been made for the am/pm issue.

Darkmagi: if you can provide the full line text of the weakness messages (from the Raw Data tab), I can see about putting something together for that.

Extra awesome if everything is organized into a checklist that gets filled out as you go, so you can still see what is left to do, and if weaponskills/spells that were done relatively close to the NM using a TP move or casting a spell and thus may not have counted appear in a different colour, indicating they may have to be redone.
I was helping someone with tonberries for celerity when a group pulled bakka ; I received their weakness message when they triggered it. A parser might have a hard time lining up the message to the causing action since it seems to just notify everyone within ~30 yalms.

Also if the monster looses hate and goes 'idle'. The weakness appears to change whenever someone reclaims it. (see here for posts about it)

The solution for what you want still seems to be excel.

The main thing I wanted was just recording of the weaponskills, almost everyone in the alliance spots it when the weakness is triggered. And yeah, we post like an excel spreadsheet with everyone's assigned weaponskills, but it's really hard for an organizer to be playing their job, as well as looking through tons of chat log spam to see which weapon skills got done. Would just be nice to look at KParser and at a glance know which weaponskills need to be done still so you can adjust your damage output as needed, or assign someone else to help with a certain weapon's weaponskills, etc.

Um, just a quick question, is there some reason my KParse would be parsing the other 6 types of light in Abyssea, but not Silvery? Because that's what it's doing right now.

Oh, and Khajit: You mean Japanese text stays the same, and English gets translated to Japanese? Yes, the program translates to the system's local language. I'll have to fiddle with it to see about setting an explicit translate-to language.
I meant nothing comes up at all. Just a blank spot on the translate section which is weird to me as whenever i did that in English locale to an English line kparser would spit it out "translated" into English.

Can you sneak in stalwart's drink and the other misc drinks into the buffs by time tab as well?
Ephepheral mobs like the murex also apparently give 10x lights so would you mind accounting for that in the future? Sorry to bug ya on that.

In a previous KParser update, the methodology for detecting Extra Attacks was adjusted. I don't know how it used to work or currently works, but is it possible that this adjustment could cause a 15-20% discrepancy in the reported Double Attack rate?

For example, before the KParser update, I was parsing a ~52% multi-attack rate on D76 OAT Luchtaine (this was in May 2010). I recently finished off some trials for the D88 OAT Kunlun+1, and wanted to test if there was a change to the OAT on Kunlun+1. But a preliminary parse in Dynamis (I know, testing conditions in Dynamis are very much less than ideal) reported that my multi-attack rate was only ~35% with Kunlun+1. I reparsed the earlier D76 OAT Luchtaine file in the latest KParser, and it reported that I had a ~33% multi-attack rate with Luchtaine. This leads me to my question about whether the current method of detecting Extra Attacks is more or less reliable than the previous method, and if the difference in reported multi-attack rate is supposed to change so much.

If the current Extra Attacks detection method is better and supposed to give us a more reliable reported multi-attack rate, then it means that the OAT trait on the Magian weapons has a proc rate of less than 40%, which could mean that we have been massively overvaluing OAT weapons as a whole in various analyses.

    Parse in May of Luchtaine

    Reparse of Luchtaine today

    Parse of Kunlun+1 today

Because you insinuated something was wrong with the program, when it was just you being too lazy to check their site for something as obvious as updated memlocs.

Does anybody know if they're working on a way to parse the lights you get off ephermals?

The lights given by ephermals are not static. Need to judge for yourself when your lights are capped for a particular category.

Last night I parsed a party trying to confirm that AF3+1 boots give a damage boost to Retaliation. We fought Lord Varney and then a bunch of bats. For some reason, kparser picked up one Retaliation (against Lord Varney) and missed all of my other ones. I was riding the Retaliation timer and could see the log, so I know there were a lot more Retaliations than that. Reparse does nothing. My chat filters were set so I can see all of my damage and nothing of anyone else's.

What caused the problem, and can I possibly salvage last night's session?

    Suggestions:
    1) Add Retaliation as a to the Buffs by Time with Counter %, max Counter, min Counter, Counter average (or make it retaliation specific if you prefer)
    2) Add Restraint to the Buffs by Time with the same categories as Berserk, Minuet, etc.
    3) Add Saber Dance to the Buffs by Time with "Additional Attacks with"/"Additional Attacks without" or something. Would make my life a lot easier.

Do attacks that get countered show up as misses on the parse? NM is Gancanagh is countering me like no tomorrow and it's showing my hitrate w/ pizza as 58% where as the thf sam and war are a t 91 95 and 90%s

Yes, a countered attack is 'defended' when it doesn't make contact with the target (ie: evasion, parry, utsu, etc), and hit rates are connected hits out of total hits. I can see this being viewed as inaccurate in a certain sense, but I'm not sure that I'd want to change it.

If you're trying to figure out whether you need more accuracy or not, counting utsu/parry/counter hits as "misses" is very misleading. You could have an 80% attacks-that-do-damage-rate and still be at 95% accuracy.

I was running into this problem on pachypodiums. Is there a way to see your "real" acc thing (counting counters and parries as hits)? If not, it'd be something I'd appreciate.

Thanks! If it turns out not to be possible without breaking something else like crit rate, that's fine, but I appreciate the look into it.
