Would be better to see an alliance of 18 all /smn go into zhaylom boss and get one shotted all together imo.

I've got it. Normally monsters like your gears and chariots would not receive an effect from the area's weather effect because it was a special battlefield. However, when they implemented scholar they probably applied a new blanket formula for modifying monster damage due to weather effects. This would normally be okay, except the new formula is flawed due to a misplaced decimal point.
Normally Discoid does 4400 damage. The elemental bonus for double weather is a straight 25%, or a multiple of 1.25 normal damage. however, Discoid does 55,000 damage with the new blanket formula, which is a multiple of 12.5 exactly.
It's likely that erucas, land kings, Limbus monsters and Dynamis monsters, and probably other monsters with special affiliations to weather like King Vinegaroon and Kreutzet are also being affected by the flawed damage formula. although not in the exact same fashion. Additionally, the bonus weather effect doesn't seem to wear off when the weather changes, hence the reason why erucas can be raged even without firesday/ fire weather.
Assuming they had Shell V, 55,000 isn't even correct. Base would be a littler higher then that.
Maybe they were just tired of us bitching about salvage being easy but SHITASTIC drop rates, so they decided to go AV on us. LBC starts casting Meteor..
Would add some flare to the system, I wouldnt even mind it.. Just fucking fix the drop rates while your at it. Hard shit with good drops > Easy shit with horrific drops.
salvage been out for while, and small percentage have the gear they want. doesnt need to be made harder for challenge, just make drops better so we can move on to other stuff.Originally Posted by Neosutra
Any info if this has been ninja fixed or not?
Would be nice to know. I cancelled a couple of my own runs because of this![]()
The more I look at it, the more it seems that 55,000 is the base damage from Discoid. For the first Discoid, it is being divided amongst 8 individuals, which leaves 6,875 points of damage towards each person. However, the damage taken seems to be offset from this value by 188 points of damage (Zerohero, Sylfa) or from each other (Jalto, Epitaphrx) indicates that the attack is not 55,000 individual spikes, but instead a specific number of spikes each having a set amount of damage. Since 188 doesn't go into 55,000 evenly it cannot be the correct damage value of each spike; instead each spike is modified by player buffs in order to yield the effect of spikes of 188 points of damage.Originally Posted by Seditedi
Looking back at the unbroken version of Discoid, 4400 total damage must be divided evenly amongst the same number of spikes as the broken version. If the original version were to contain 220 spikes of 20 damage each, to obtain 55,000 points of damage with 220 spikes it requires each spike to deal 250 points of damage before magic defense. Using Shell 5 as the preferred buff with a 25% reduction, you get 187.5 points of damage per spike, rounded up to 188, which correlates to the actual values discovered. This strongly supports my earlier statement that damage was mistakely multiplied by 12.5 instead of 1.25 due to a change in weather bonus given to the chariot's attack.
If this is true, then the fastest way to get this fixed is to start abusing it ourselves. :X

Can confirm, mant did not fix gear restoral.
i second that,, restoral is a pain still.
Yeah I was thinking the same because Erucas have that TP abilities during Fire weather I think, now it seems they have it 100% of the times, and powered up. It's probably the same, you got it right. They changed something in the multipliers due to Scholar, and f*cked things up for all the monsters which have some relation with Weather.Originally Posted by Kayberry
Nice finding! I wish we could give you a prize for that ; ; Now the only think we need to do is to let SE know this, in case they didn't find out yet ('cause I bet they didn't fix it with yesterday's patch).
did Zhay last night, discord is still fucked. gotta love an otherwise good run failing to a bug.
While I am not trying to excuse SE for somehow letting this retarded bug slip through, I must say ... attempting to kill Battleclad Chariot while knowing the bug exists, without waiting for a resolution to be announced, is just asking for a wasted run. :/Originally Posted by Drunkenmonk

Yeah, if they didn't tell us they were changing anything, liklihood is they won't tell us when they fix it either.
Only real way to know it's fixed will be sacrificial lambs.
