Oh, another thing, Brightness is unusually high for some reason. And, I thought it was my monitor or the display settings for the video card, but it isn't.

Reducing the in-game Gamma didn't help much either.

Go to Sea and look at the surface or Valkurm Dunes and look at the surface of the sand.

Noticing the same brightness issues myself... Al Zahbi's (the only zone I've been in since the update) floor was like Valkurm-white-hot bright and everyone's name was all distorted due to the brightness. PC gamma wasn't the issue. =\

I've decided to not do anything in game until they've fixed the USB issue. Random in-game glitches and overpowered mobs are np, but when they take away my tools, I can't do anything. D: I just hope it's fixed by Thursday.

Pretty sure it was always like that. We always buffed after entering when a friend and I duo'd it.

Do they even test these updates before they release them? It almost seems like they broke more things than they added.

Starting to wonder the same myself, their updates lately have been full of major bugs that should have been caught by testing. Needs more Wow-style public test server, where it can be tested by people who actually play the game, not just releasing it live and hoping for the best.

I dont have lag, I can play fine but have the same brightness issue!

I add, when in windowed mode (1280x800 window on a 1440x900 monitor) do you get blurry text on the sides of the window?

The NQ Kings on Hades were pretty fucked up, too.

Behemoth suddenly did 100% Double Attacks with 100% Accuracy and hit for 700 instead of 300 damage... like rage mode after a few minutes. 2 Linkshells wiped until the third one took him over with 10% health and killed him. Another Linkshell wiped to Admantoise and Excellence had a rather hard time killing with Fafnir... had to sleep him at 70% and had 3-4 deaths until then... thats absolutly not normal.

I also heard about some people wiping to Roc really fast. Just a guess... but it seems to me NMs got a Rage mode and a retarted high TP gain.

(I use USB Keyboard and Bluetooth mouse via USB Bluetooh Dongle... experienced no lag or freeze yesterday)

1) Legacy took longer than 30min to kill behemoth, thus causing the rage (we watched ya).

2) Adamantoise was claimed by TPS, they can rage KA with 12.

3) We slept our fafnir because we had 1 rdm/nin (who i dont believe has gotten to tank hnms with us much, if at all) who got terror spam'd, thus dying. (rest of ppl stuck in stupid update, SE t(-.-)). Slept till tank alive, then killed.

Summary: the mobs aren't harder, just the circumstances in which the fights took place.

Let's try to summarize.


Current Known Issues, November 20th (Player Found):

- The "Crawler" family monsters in Mount Zhaylom have higher or near-instant TP gain.

- In accordance to the above known issue, the Notorious Monster Energetic Eruca's difficulty has been raised to near-impossible levels.

- In relation to the above known issues, several other monsters and Notorious Monsters around Vana'diel are now known to have permanent or semi-permanent Double Attack and/or higher or near-instant TP gain. (confirmation needed on which monsters)

- A certain TP move known as "Discord" from the Notorious Monster Battleclad Chariot in Zhaylom Remnants is now known to do 55000 dispersing damage.

- The "Gear" family monster's TP move "Restoral" can now restore itself to full health.

- "Reraise" effect in level-capped areas and instanced areas such as Salvage and Assault wear off upon death. (issue has now been addressed by SE)

- All status enhancements effects now wear off upon exiting out of level-capped areas and (possibly) instanced areas.

- The weapon skill "Guillotine" and "Penta Thrust" accuracy calculations remain unadjusted accordingly to the 2-handed weapon 'update'.

- Certain NPCs in Aht Urgan Whitegate will cause the game to crash. (confirmation needed)

- Ranged Attack damage calculations are now unbalanced. (confirmation needed)

- Severe connection problems and lower frame rates for players who use the USB keyboard/mouse. (issue has now been addressed by SE)

- The appraisal results from ??? items gained from Assault (and possibly Nyzul Isle and Ashu Talif) are not in conjunction with normal rewards. (confirmation needed)

- Every time a user enters the Mog House after the user jumps areas and comes back in, the user's Mog Safe items are default sorted.

- Gameplay graphics and text have several sharpness/contrast issues in windowed mode.

- The boss monster from the First Lieutenant Assault Mission "Better than One" now has excess evasion.

- The area "Metalworks" can now sometimes plays the music from "Castle Zvahl Baileys" without the player under the condition of being under a certain Bastok nation mission. (more confirmation needed)

Archaic Chariot in arrap double attacked our tank close to or 100% of the time tonight. We had elegy, slow 2, and our exceptional mnk/nin on it so wasn't a big deal or anything but it still was weird. Plus the gears restoral'd to full health a couple times lol .

Since the implementation of the latest version update on Nov. 19, 2007, we have confirmed the following issues. Investigation and recovery work is currently underway.

- Effect of Reraise wears off in case the player is KO'd in areas where level restriction applies.

- FINAL FANTASY XI may slow down when USB keyboard or USB mouse is connected(Windows only).

PS: Thank god, no FPS bullshit problems after update completed. Too bad everything else is broken too.
