Fuck, I hated Windurst when I was a newbie because of that crap.

Takes less time to get around Windurst when you get to know it, MH > Warp Taru/AH > OP is short as hell.

Doesn't help when the warp taru takes you from one zone to another that's still at least 100 miles from the place you're going to. I'm sorry my city is so much easier to navigate than yours, and so much better.

SSandy MH to AH is longer than Woods MH to Walls AH, the taru warps you to right next to the OP warper, and it's just about the same distance from Woods MH to the AU warp NPC.

So no, Sandy sucks to Nagivate, wtf is up with North Sandy? The Opposite side of SSandy from MH? Port Sandy and it's long ass run from MH to Airship?

Add that on top of all the asshole NPC's and the bagpipes, and well, it's not easy to love the place.

Nobody makes you go anywhere in North Sandy other than from MH to OP, which conveniently has the armor storage NPC along the way. Nobody makes you go to the other side of South Sandy, either. As for Port Sandy, we don't need airships... we can teleport between nations now, because we're #1 across all servers.

North San d'Oria is the only "sucks to navigate" area, and that's still a fairly straight shot of Mog House>Pick up AF>OP. Set HP@South Sandy MH, and it's a small beeline to AU Warp or AH. Port San d'Oria is obsolete because lolairships.

Quests and various Missions involve running all over the ass end of Sandy.

Woods MH > Walls > Walls AH > Warp Taru > OP rocks.

Why would I want to teleport between nations? Besides the fact that it's easier for you guys to come enjoy Windurst now, Good for you!

I don't willingly go to Sandy unless there is a mission CS there, I do actually hit up Bastok weekly though, AU to Jeuno > Airship > flag CN Escort > Get back on Airship before it leaves.

Everything in Windy is so far from each other. Even though sandy has a bit of a run in some places, the most important part is you can autorun in one direction and get there. Like from Sandy OP to NSandy MH you run out past Shiva, Autorun to that gate place, then just run to the bridge outside MH. Tada. Windy has these bullshit turns like I'm on some rollercoaster which makes it a pain in the ass.

Re: Crystal War Results - That's right; San d'Oria wins.

Exit MH, turn left, autorun again when you hit the zone, you're at an AH, upstairs is the Warp taru, turn right and you can hit the OP warp in a beeline.

You can't beat the Woods > Walls AH > Warp to Port > OP Warp run, the entire run isn't even as long as the run from Nsandy MH to the OP.

The Cooking/Bone/Cloth guilds are easy to hit using the Woods>Waters Warper, AH right there too, and if you're over there, the AU warp NPC is right there too.

Windy is big, but it's really easy to navigate if you aren't new there and trying to find some random taru in the far end of Waters for a quest.

My guess is Windurst is better if you're thinking with portals.

That being said, it's easy to get around if you know the Warp Tarus/have your Mog House shortcuts. Newcomers go loopy though.

    Exactly.

Looks like a pain, but with direct cuts across the two farthest points from each other, MH exits, and knowing where you actually need to be for things, it's pretty smooth.

If Sandy had like, Port sandy AH to far side of Ssandy, and Ssandy MH to near the Nsandy OP Warp, it would be similar to how Windy is.

Look all those instructions compared to Kuno's. This a bunch of a mumbo jumbo with too many twists and turns, San d'Oria cuts out the middle man, which is why we won and you lost. How's it feel to lose? I wouldn't know, I'm San d'Orian.

    *exits SSandy MH and autoruns*

    Hmmm, wall.

    *turns left*

    Wall again.

    *turns right*

Fountain, damn, ok, gotta go around that.

    *autoruns into a staircase*

Dammit, thought I could just autorun anywhere... maybe if I aim just right.

*hits the arches leading to W Ronfaure*

Hmmm, guess I'm doing it wrong.

There's nothing to do in South Sandy, anyway. If you need the AH, real San d'Orians just zone from North Sandy directly down to AH. Or if you're already in your MH, it's like 2 steps away from port MH.

The AU NPC is in Ssandy, Chocobo Stables (for warp/raising bird), and AH/Dbox.

Exit Nsandy MH, left, right, dodge fountain, double right, left, right, left.

Exit Woods MH, left, zone, aim right, talk to the Warp NPC, right, right, OP.

Shorter run too, and theres an AH/Dbox in there at the Warp NPC.

Ragnarok server still remembers how to herd dhamels and dhamelnecks, which is why Windurst was/is #1 and San d'Oria wins Conquest once in a blue moon here. Heck, we let Bastok win if it'll put San d'Vagina in third.

How tough is "turn left out of Mog House, run to Warp Taru, teleport next to OP warp Taru, go wherever" anyway? Or "exit Mog House, turn right, walk into airship port?"

Looking forward to Campaign, though. About time there was some national spirit again, and I think this little warmup is just the spark.

(Besides, you know who the "Supreme Moogle" REALLY was, right? Heheheh.)
