so what are the odd's arizona gets a new kicker. Thats what 6 or 7 field goals now that guy missed. Teach arizona to take a 49er castoff.
Mike Vanderjagt is listed as being on the Dallas Cowboys accd. to Yahoo, but hasn't played all season - I'm sure the Cardinals could pry him away for a song (if he's on the practice squad or whatever).Originally Posted by Melena

I love how half that article is about bullshit fines Taylor has gotten over the past years and how "he's a maturing person"... as if it has anything to do with him getting shot. I can't stand when people say the media doesn't try to paint pictures.Originally Posted by tyven
I too noticed this. We here at the office had the very same discussion this morning about how they always seem to throw in COMPLETELY unrelated shit to further insult the said person. Like something that occurs between those white lines on the field has anything to do with being shot and being in Critical condition.Originally Posted by Deejay

Pats got lucky. And wtf, Tom Brady only one touchdown pass?!

Holy shit.. the Sean Taylor shooting is really bad. He might end up dying from the wound since it hit an artery.
Heh, the article says he keeps a machete in his bedroom for protection. That's hardcore.
They're padding the article with trivia for the readers at home who might say 'Sean who?' and honestly it's hard to say 'Sean Taylor' without also saying 'thug on the field' in one form or another.Originally Posted by Deejay

I've always been a person that said every pro stadium in baseball and football should have natural turf. Pittsburgh is probably the first place I would say should switch to astroturf. (I know a lot of other events tore it up, but it still was a horrible field to watch a game on)
Who's to say the shooting was completely random? Preliminary investigation indicate robbery, but id bet anything the dude knew his shooter personally. Hell, there are reports someone broke in his house and left a knife on his bed. Not a damn thing stolen, just broke in and laid a damn knife on his bed. The article alludes to the guy having really shitty judgment on the field, which can be correlated to off the field behavior. Look at Vick.Originally Posted by Mizango

Oh man.. =[ That's just horrible. I heard during the night he made it through and was in ICU.. I guess there were complications. Man.. this really sucks. I feel so sorry for his family and team.Originally Posted by octopus

I find it somewhat humourous that NE was given their first "real" test of the season, while Miami had a similar kind of experience in the opposite way. Such a strange season, lol. There is a part of me that would find irony in NE going undefeated to join Miami as the only other team to have achieved that status, and Miami going 0-16 in the same season.
Like or dislike Taylor, you wish death on no one. I know it is easy to vilify someone for what they do on the field, but you have to keep in mind that this is still someones Father, Brother. nephew, Husband and Son. Late hits or drawing penalties has jack shit to do with someone dying.
I wake up to that Hanna Storm cunt ranting and raving about how he got in a fight 3 years ago with someone who stole his ATV and how he was a "troubled" player, I mean seriously, how the fuck is that relevant to anything? She can go on for 10 mins about that but cant wish or say anything decent to his mourning family. I got into with a friend of my roommates a few years ago when he stole my PS2 and games. Would that somehow impact how I die 10 years from now? That is the shit I am tired of hearing. Deejay hit it right on the head yesterday.
But Tyche you are probably right, reports are out now (His father is the Police Chief) that they walked in on a botched burglary a few months ago, after a night out, and it is possibly related to that. I mean phone lines were cut when his GF/ Fiance tried to call 911 help. He was shot protecting his fiance and his 18 mo. old daughter. No matter what anyone thinks of an individual, no one wishes death on anyone.
Maybe I am hyper sensitive on this issue due to in essence the same thing happening to my both of my parents. Whether he know the assailant or not, isn't the point. The guy was a chicken shit coward that took a life because he got caught doing something he wasn't supposed to do; Robbing a home. Everyone knows Miami is full of broke, back stabbing ass niggas so again, again Tyche is probably right. Anyway, I cant help but to feel for his family and the 18 month old that wont get to know her father because someone would rather steal than to get something the legitimate way.
You, I and everyone else on this boards has done some really shady shit, at one time or another, that doesn't mean that any one of us or anyone else deserves to lose their life over it. Guess that is just the how I feel about it personally, I've worn that victim hat before. R.I.P
I've spoken my peace, back to football.
