you can read as much as you want, 1. hand experience is best our first 4 runs were a catastrophic nightmare, after 2 months we have so much improved that runs go smoothly without any death at all mostly, and faster because people know the shit now

Well thanks for the heads up on this. I been going at this for about 3 months now and I have a pretty good idea on some things. Lacking on some important jobs mostly. I just wanted to go in there with some readable knowledge
If the idea is to decrease tp that the gears are getting from DD, would it be smart to have like 2 sets of 3 DD's?
In Zhaylom 4th floor. I made it there in under 30 mins and the NM was there surrounded by jerry's kids. how the hell do you manage defeating that NM and having time for the boss?
I know im asking dumb questions considering most of you are skillful in this event, I just want to get all doubts out the way.
Like Hammerblow's fomors, the gents deaggro fairly quickly when pulled out of the room. As long as your puller can get out of range of their terribly deadly AOEs, anyways.
If I remember correctly, we cleared the mamool room to the west, pulled the froggies east, then peeled the madame off the group and took it to the empty mamool room so we wouldn't link the gents as they walked back.
Only problem we had was that our puller used elegy to pull, which made it rather difficult for the monk to pull the madame off him, but it worked out anyways.
If you aim for boss watch out you dont skip too many cells. 30 minutes is great but if your DDs lack certain cells it could take longer to get to the boss than the time you are saving by rushing up.
Hammerblow popping method my group always uses:
Try to prioritize THF for equipment cells, AGI, VIT, and HP.
Equip an earth staff.
Stack evasion gear.
Have BRD do Paeon + Mambo.
Kite them around the room while everyone picks them off one by one. It helps if you have two healers unlocked by then, so that one can focus on the THF, while the other focuses on your melees.
We've done this so many times I've lost count, it works like a charm each time. As someone else stated, as long as no one's resting in the kite path, you'll be fine.
I do understand your predicament of wanting to accomodate so many people, and how going with 6-8 isn't always an option at first. I've run into that problem at times, but seriously cut down the roster if you can, except for certain runs: Salvage is much less of a headache when you're having to keep an eye on 6-8 people, as opposed to 15-16. I personally try to cap mine at 12.
Since when do you need relics to kill the Bosses with 6 people? It's just experience, skill and focus. >_>Originally Posted by ringthree
we killed bosses with 7 and have no relics at all. and its surely doable also by 6 just needs a tad more time then.Originally Posted by TB
Popping Hammerblow in Arrapago with 6-8 is impossible. It seems very difficult even with 18!Originally Posted by Jada
Hammerblow's a joke. How to pop him?
Give a THF JA, have him walk in and Flee using JA aggro, then have your DDs each grab a fomor off the train (ie with Chi or Voke). Pull these off to the side of the room and kill them. THF's train will deaggro over time so he'll need to kite them if you need more time, but if you're on the side of the room they won't aggro when they come back. Repeat.
Or give feet to anyone who can use powder boots. See above.
Or give anyone who isn't useful a hermes quencher. You're on Sylph, and they're like, what, 5k?
All of the above worked when I did Hammerblow.
Also, like Aurik said.
we let a almost full equiped war kite around the room and pick them one by one off, worked for us so far everytime wihtout any trouble. picking the mnk fomors first off course helps himOriginally Posted by Caerith
I found it safer to kite them out of the room, since the terrain works to your advantage. Fomors are stupid and can't handle stairs or pillars (they like to zig-zag) that well, so you can easily outpace them even without +movement. In my experience, an equipped WAR is better spent killing the ones you pull off the train. Your way does have its advantages though.Originally Posted by Damane
