WotG Shipping Date Delayed till 11-21

Does this mean for people who are waiting for it from UPS won't get it until Monday?

The 3 Wal-marts by me are open tomorrow. One of the guys said he never heard of Wog, But the last guy said he knew it shipped today and he told me to try tomorrow even know it is thanksgiving.

It might be worth it for some of you guys to try tomorrow also, most wal-marts are open till at least 4pm and they unpack everything at night. So it should be on the shelves by 5am most places.

Well, thats pretty annoying. I paid the ten extra bucks for overnight shipping for my copy, even though the PC disc is useless to me (My DVD drive needs to be replaced, since it doesn't work. ) only for this "delay." And some stores still got their copies on time.. I call bullshit on not getting my own copy on time. :-/

Who needs shipping dates when SE could easily just offer free dl of the software and online purchase of registration keys? I know other games do that kinda stuff and I'm sure it saves them a lot of money. If I was selling games I know I would not wanna pay manufacturing, packaging, and shipping costs to deliver digital content that could be just as easily transmitted to the consumer through the internet, and just make them pay for the registration codes. My brother plays a lot of MMO stuff and I'm not sure which game it is that does that (EQ2? idk) but that makes a lot more sense than shipping a million dvd's (FFXI WOTG would fit on a cd btw) which us consumers must fight tooth & nail over since gamestop and EB don't wanna order enough copies at one time.

Edit: talked to a friend in game. in Ohio and such, they'll order 12-20 copies at a time. here in abilene, tx they order 3-6.. same BS happened when aht urghan came out and they got spammed with calls and ppl coming in looking for it. Who dares me to go slap the shit outta their manager for being too stupid to order enough copies of stuff that they KNOW people play? Ganna camp gamestop tomorrow, idc if i get xbox ps2 or pc version of the expansion, the code will work and i've already installed the WoTG torrent i got earlier.

Thanks SE for making some of us turn to piracy just to play DNC for a few lvls and get bored with it.

That will kill middle man, ex. GameStop, and SE will have a hard time with vendor's relationship. Because SE is still relying on them to distribute console games.

I think they mean in reference to the PC version. All the Gamestops in my area and another store (can't remember which) have told me that their PC gaming is a dying breed (wtf?) and that they won't order any/much of any unless preorded.

I played EQ2 and yes you have the option to pay for the key (at around the same cost as the box) and download it from Sony's servers. That way everyone has access to it on the same day and they can actually manage a worldwide release, unlike SE who can only manage to find ways to fuck that up every single time.

Yeah Lordender, that's what ppl have been saying too. Registration server won't respond. Though, most of my LS has their expansion so one can only hope. By the time i get off work today I hope to see a WoTG box sitting on my desk!

If you ordered online and next day shipping you'll receive it today. I checked my order as soon as I woke up yesterday and it arrived in my town in Southern Indiana from Texas at 3:40am. Too bad the damn UPS store was close so I couldn't pick it up
