Hmm this sucks. Last year I had my US ToAU copy at the release date via Express shipping at my house.
Even earlier then most americans.

This year :
EU version of PC,PS2,Xbox360 already purchasable in germany. All my friends got it.

This year I ordered at US amazon, since I need the US game... and has not shipped yet so
I will have to wait till Friday like everyone else too. Still not to bad. I am only interested in
unlocking new jobs already anway so idc if I have to wait some hours/days longer to lose exp
in the new areas .

Um.. The same thing happened for toau. We didn't get it here (New York) until a few days after it went live. So it's no surprize square dropped the ball a third time in a row.

GameStop in Chicago called my cell phone just now, saying "we'll have the game you pre-ordered tomorrow before noon"

I ordered 2 copies, PS2 and PC, so I pray it's for both. Otherwise I'll be playing on super-duper eye-strain-o-vision, but damn it I'll be playing. [probably less buggy than PC is right now anyways]

well if you think about it, the retailers probably prohibit SE from selling the keys over their site on launch day to protect their sales. Makes sense if they want them to carry the game at all. How about waiting like an adult, or 'make them pay' by not buying it?

I'm really dissapointed, i tried to beat the rush and get WoTG today from my local gaming stores (Game & Gamestation) here in the UK, staff at game took 5mins to find any information on WoTG said "will be out on friday... maybe", Gamestation gave me a blank stare and said "games usually come out friday (BS, ive gotten games from them on midweek releases) and they havnt heard if they are getting them in or not"

it really dissapoints me how retarded people can get a job in these places.

I got the same responce from both game and gamestation (they are both owned by the same company) they dont know there arse from there elbow tbh, they just said eh, if its a Final Fantasy game, we should have it, but no idea when......

We have a shop here called Eplay, there is no working website I can find but they said they would def have it in by friday and let me pre order it for collection (game wouldnt even let me do that) see if there is one local to you, also try wolworths its listed on there website for 22nd so its worth a shot

http://www.play.com sent me an email 20th at 3:15pm that my order had been processed and was now being sent out, normally takes 1-2 days though can be longer depending on the mail. Going to phone around and see if i can pick up a 2nd copy today in glasgow for my 2nd account or at least find out when its due. I dont see what the big deal is with the NAs complaining of 1 day late ToaU was 5 days behind everyone else for EU players last time, i spent 5 days in castle O getting coffer keys and tests for people so they could get access. SE is finally showing EU players a little love. NA players just have the misfortune of having thanksgiving in the way messing up shipping and distrubution rather than actual production causing the issue.

I was thinking the same, where was our fan fest? how comes maint is allways eu primetime? we got the orignal game a YEAR AND A HALF after the nas and yet 1 day late is the end of the world ha!

Just yesterday i went into both Game and Gamestation stores in Leeds city centre. In Game the guy looked at his release date list and said "It's due for release Friday". I told him it was officially due for release 22nd but he insisted they can only sell it Friday. Total and utter bollocks!

Gamestation were even worse in that they said they don't get release date lists. They just get stuff as it comes in from their supplier and had no clue as to when WotG was coming out. I don't think they had even heard of it. That's totally unacceptable to any serious gamer.

I just went home and ordered it online with Amazon.co.uk and paid the extra for guaranteed next day delivery. Just got my email to say it's been despatched and it's guaranteed to be in my hands tomorrow morning.

I will still be late getting into the expansion because the content will no doubt go live before it arrives. We are eight hours behind Japan here.
