I apparently have no clue what's going on in terms of torrent-ness. I'd assume the goal is to install the NA PC version... what about content IDs? Even I don't know if I'm desperate enough to pay the full price on a PS2/360 code... I did just check and there's no WotG option in the reg codes purchasing section of the POL viewer. So basically, only options is run out and pay the $30 for a ps2/360 version today and use that code?

...Actually, I might want the ps2 version anyway at some point... grrTempted.

Edit: Despite the fact my ps2 version has been nothing more than a kings puller and rolanmart slave mule machine at this point and it doesn't have ToAU on it, would it work anyway? I'd have to assume yes given the expansion areas have all been exclusive thusfar ...

i don't know if this has been posted but i heard a few people who did get the NA version (i guess some stores did not return them) had their box come with the DVD but not the booklet with the reg. code.

don't see why not. When I got ToUA for ps2 and PC I gave my ps2 code for ToUA to my friend who plays on the PC ... it's just a code confirming you actually bought a copy, not platform specific.

Sat around for hours wondering if I should cave and get a damn ps2 copy. Gave in. Sat on the freeway the better part of an hour in traffic.

*Walks into gamestop* ...Ok, I'll just assume the staff is as stupid as ever. *Spots the $1.99 XI starter pack on the register counter, picks it up, and waves to the guy putzing with boxes* ...I mean, if it's not WoW they have no idea what MMOs are, so I'd better have a visual aid.

--"I don't suppose you have the new expansion for this ...?" *waves the starter pack* "...It should be around this week I think ...?"
--"OH! God, well we have the PS2 version, I was just unboxing those... I've been calling people all day who preordered the PC version saying it'll be a few extra days. That got delayed a few days."
--"Wow, so you're hoping Friday maybe for the PC version?"
--"Well let me check the computer again." *Types* ..."This still says the shipping date is today, and usually it's updated by now if there's any kind of delay. So hopefully Friday... you can check back then."
--*shrugs* "I'll take a PS2 version then."
--*confused as hell* "Uh... ok... you're sure? It's just 2 days."

Right! So despite the fact I don't know if you're all my friends or not, as of like 3pm est, Gamestop is still expecting the PC version sometime Friday... I'd assume since it'd come from the same distribution center this would go for most/all of the midwest.

My god, I'm still amazed someone at a Gamestop actually knew wth they were doing. This almost gives me confidence enough to shop there again. Almost.
