got my version today for ps2 at gamestop in Colorado. No Pc versions anywhere. it seemed only a select few best buy's had it but the lazy a holes wouldn't go to the back and get it, told me to come back friday.

GameStop already tried to get me to come pick up my PC copy but it was really a 360 copy. Typical GameStop bullshit. FYI GameStop has a practice called "playing the float" it means that you sell a portion of the reserves to "walk-ups" hoping not 100% of reserves pick up a game. Your $5 doesn't go towards your game either, they just take $5 off of your game when you pick it up. The difference? They take the actualt money (your $5) and build interest on it between the time that you reserve it and the time that the game comes out. Fuck you GameStop, especially every GameStop in the Twin Cities.

Three gamestops in Rochester MN, i went to the Rochester Crossing one and picked up 360 version. he had a few when i left, and a few ps2 versions as well. no PC versions around town at all, torrent ftw

NOW FOR A FUN STORY

When I went to preorder WotG from gamestop the first time they said it had been canceled.

2 weeks later I tried again and they let me do it, so I put down the full amount.

Today comes and I go back to gamestop and they tell me it's been canceled. I tell them no it hasn't. They said that it might be in one of the boxes they haven't unpacked yet, try later.

I try back later and they say they won't have any copies until friday.

I call the other gamestop and they say yeah we have PS2 but nothing else. I ask them if I can come in and change my preorder. They say sure.

I go there, they say, wtf, you can't change your preorder. I cajole them, then they say fine but your preorder is with the other store so bugger off.

So, exhasperated, I drove down the street to Best buy.

I walked into the Best Buy.

I walked to the PS2 section.

I took a copy of WotG off the shelf.

I walked to the register.

My checkout girl was cute and she smiled at me.

I bought it.

I walked out.

I came home, put in my ps2 regcode, and got the torrent done in 5 seconds.

FUCK GAMESTOP.

Should've asked for a refund in store credit from the pre-order at the first gamestop and taken it to the second. All of the gamestops I've ever visited have had next to no connection with eachother, aside from their crappy company policies.

edit: On topic, neither of the gamestops I visited today had a copy of the PC version in, so I settled for a copy for the 360 and did the torrent voodoo.

No PC versions at the Gamestop at Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, so I wouldn't be surprised if all the game stores on the island also don't have them. I would buy a PS2 version and download the PC version torrent if I could, but the University of Hawaii really, really hates Bittorrent. Oh well, I can wait a couple extra days and let everyone else do the hard work of exploring and such.

I didn't feel like driving to opposite sides of town 3 times, especially after I walked into best buy and bought it in 2 minutes. I need a second copy for my other character anyway so I'll just go pick up my preorder some time next week. :/

Not to post a well this guy I know knows another guy but, a ls mate of mine works for a Game Stop in NC and he said that Game Stop normally doesn't order more than what they have reserved for expansions for any system due to the fact they always have some left over that never sells. I can pretty much confirm this b/c the gamestop near where i live had 1 extra xbox copy due to someone not knowing how to count. (Lucky for me) In addition to that, another ls mate that lives in Boston said the best buy near where he lives did not order and of the x-packs Hope this helps.

All stores in the Metro KC area have PS2 and XBox, both the expansion and the collection edition.

Not all stores, Metro North didnt, Zona Rosa did.

Called about 40 stores around Orlando like other people did, the Hunters Creek one someone mentioned said they had them but sold them all to people with preorders, so that makes 0/40 stores carrying PC. Oh well, I'm done going out of my way to try and force SE to take my money, I'll pick it up whenever it's convenient for me now.

I been to 3 game stops each said different days it comes out, I went too 2 different malls and a few best buys. I'm empty handed and very pissed off.

With the torrent I can use ps2 codes and play it when it goes live with everyone else?

The Gamestop i went to (Roseville, MN) only ordered copies of the expansion, for ps2, that were reserved. They had plenty of copies of the collection. Found it out when a guy in front of me tried to get a copy and they gave him the collection. The staff had no clue as to what the deal was. I'm not sure on numbers for 360.

Don't forget the Gamestop at Southtown! Dude there had the fucking balls to tell me "Yeah, the last guy who came in knew it had been delayed..." like I was stupid for even asking. Last time I pre-order a game that isn't some Atlus rarity I know will only have ten copies printed total.

Now I'm stuck in shitty Grand Rapids, MN all thanksgiving with no code for the torrent because the best store around here is lolWalMart.

Was it the daytime guy? He claims to be one of the original internet users in the 80's and was the first person to hold the screen name "Big Brother". The guy I had was Josh. GameStop said the expansion packs won't be avail until Friday...but I do know that the PS2 version of the "Collection" is out...

The guy gave me the $40 collection one instead of my pre-ordered expansion...I figured I should test it out and see if they would have separate registration codes but no...and when I tried to install it, it said that I already have a "version" of FFXI installed...and it asked me if I wanted to rewrite the data...like hell I will :'( I will lose all my markers and macros ;; but luckily an indie game store has it in stock. He gave me a full refund for it instead...my full $32.50 (NY here).
