I just unlocked detonator and did some few shots on lvl 1 rabbits in ronfaure

slugs were doing there 2250

whereas detonator was doing 1100

My gear for COR is not superb by any means, I just started to work on it. I usually go /nin to burn pts and dual wield joytoy and kris for enhanced tp gain with a haste+accuracy mix setup.

now i havent tested detonator yet in exp PTs.

My usual slugshot setup:

Full AF (yes I KNOW, working on assault gear and salvage pieces)
behemoth ring+1 2x
triumph earring 2x
palla's bracelets
peacock charm
warfolf belt
martial gun
and stell bullets
amemet mantle +1

4 merits in marksmanship

my slug shots range from 600-1100 depending on mob lvl and type (i use sushi). workign also on getting w.hands. I want to have some WS setups of pimped CORs for slugshots and WS setups for Detonators just to get an Idea what pimped out CORs equip. planning to almost replace AF with assault gear (ecxeption is head and feet) and pallas bracelets with w.hands.

kris + joy setup is no biggy for me, since I have 8/8 merits in sword, so sword skill sits at 256 now and dagger skill is from naturally 256. I am however forced to eat sushi otherwise it ends in a wiff festival. I can usually WS once a battle, sometimes twice, depening on attacks per round and if the rdm or whm is so nice to haste me -_-.

i just feel like there is much space to improve WS dmg, but finding some good R.attk+ gear on cor is kind of hard

1. use /war or /rng unless you are pulling, or your dd suck so badly that you pull hate aside from straight after ws. which weapon you should use depends on your merits, and your ws str - mkris ws more often but does a lot less DoT, so use your judgement.
2. with full acc gear, you can pull off meat, but i do just fine on sushi. a lot of cor damage in merit depends on buffs, our attack without chaos/minuets is very, very low.
3. Af head, body and feet are ok for ws. blue cotehardie has higher damage potential but less acc, some rse feet are better, but the head is really nice. Of course, there are better options when you look at denali/skadi etc

the reason why the difference was so high on rabbits is that your pdif caps. seemingly detonator has an attack mod (or ignores mob defense somewhat), which gives an advantage to slug on low lvl mobs, and slug is obviously higher multiplier. Slug will pretty much always do more damage, but at the cost of a lot of accuracy, so make a judgement call. My slugs on g.colibri range realistically from ~900 to ~2000, again depending on buffs - 2000 would be good chaos, minuet, berserk, warcry, dia2.

I just tried detonator on mamool ja with yellow curry. my tp building was shit with merc kris and joytoy due to too much wiffing.

Detonator was very accurate but it did like 100-200 less dmg then slugshot.

I am fine with martial gun sushi and slugshot accuracy, almost never miss with it on exp mobs. + the tp gain is by far improved with m.kris and joytoy not missing. I switched back to sushi and slugshot. Dmg improved alot. I guess I am gonna stick with slugshot :/. detonator + meat was just a dissapointment, it is a very accurate WS, but I would have expected to outdo my slugshot + sushi on VT - IT mobs. However I wouldnt neglect the WS, I allways use detonator when the THF mamool is being pulled by the brd. my slugshot hit rate on him is like AAAAAAW lol
